My wife and I walked into a quiet atmosphere and were greeted warmly. We sat at a table and immediately were served with wonderful hospitality. This was our first visit and we didn’t know what to expect with the food.

Mestizos has become so much more than our weekly meal out, it really is a home away from home. Except in my home the fish tacos don’t taste this incredible. If you’ve never been, do check them out and if you haven’t been in a while, you’re missing out. This family is so thoughtful and support many of the small businesses (mine included) in our communities. Chef Jack’s food is unique, just like him and the love he has for this restaurant shines through with every bite you take. Thank you guys for building such an amazing place for us all to enjoy. ❤️

This is hands down the best food I’ve had in Shelton, and the best Latin American food I’ve had in south sound (and possibly beyond). Every dish here is of the highest quality, made with excellent ingredients and care, and everything on the menu tastes exceptional. If you’re thinking of supporting this business, do it! And make sure you order dessert!!

Ralphie May did a special on Cuban coffee, & yes this place serves it- my curiosity was peaked while being satiated as well, I never tasted a better fish taco paired with Cuban coffee.

The waiter was awful tonight. Very limited menu. Everything tastes like vinegar. There was no other flavor to any of the choices. Awful. Hated it

We love this place. The food is interesting and creative and, most importantly, tastes fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the service was excellent. We tried things we’d never heard of, and nothing disappointed. The cake with a touch of cheese was so incredibly good!. Excellent all the way around.

My wife and I are big foodies, especially for latin food, and wow, did we score by coming here. The food was absolutely amazing! We had the Pozole Rojo, Pupusas, Pasteles, and Deconstructed Street Corn. Thank you Jack, Brenda, and Patrick, everything was so frikin delicious! I can’t wait to go back to try your Tacos and Shrimp Ceviche. It was really nice chatting with you guys!

Great food! We had the fish tacos and topped off with a banana bread pudding dessert. Good beers and hard cider. Service was excellent. Definitely a place to go.

We stopped in and initially were excited, but quickly became disappointed. The customer service was lacking and the food was, for the most part, horrific. We had what was listed as carnitas tacos… nada qué ver… I can say it was the worst taco I have ever had and I believed it caused stomach issues later in the day. The meet was overly salted and seasoned and tasted like left over meatloaf that had burnt to the pan and sat out for several days. You could tell it was not same-day. Unfortunately, we will not be back. It’s also over-priced.
