As a first time customer pleasantly surprised. I was looking for a lobster roll and google put me here. The atmosphere was great, on a Thursday afternoon hardly anyone was there and towards the end we had the place to ourselves. The chilled lobster roll was great, came with fries. Took a bite before I remembered to snap a pic, was so excited to try. My husband had the cod fish fry, looked amazing and fresh. Great portion sizes. I think it’s interesting how they ask for tips twice but all good. For us both came out to about $38 before tip with drinks.

Very welcoming staff and attentive to customer needs. The food is very fresh! I loved my Lobster roll, it’s meaty, tasty and fresh. The fries are very good, I love the unique cut on them. Will be returning again and again.

Was in town on vacation and stopped in to jax fish fry the owners were in the shop very nice people. The food itself was awesome got the cod,shrimp, an lobster roll meals each one was great loved the way the fries were cut. We will definitely be back on our next time in the area. Stop by and check them out! You won’t be disappointed.

Outstanding. Remoulade, tartar & “Jax Sauce” obviously homemade & crafted perfectly as was coleslaw & homemade French fries that more resembled potato chips. Lunch shrimp basket today; next trip this old Cracker might have to try some of the “yankee” fare like “lobstah” or even “cod”(?) {what is dat? sounds nasty}

I stopped by yesterday at lunch to grab a couple of sandwiches. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I ordered a cod sandwich basket and a clam strip sandwich basket for the missus to go. While waiting, I gave in and ordered a slice of chocolate Treasure cake and a coconut cake. Very happy! Another great experience!

Excellent $18 fresh lobster roll! The bun could be toasted longer; perhaps 60 seconds instead of 45 seconds to get a crisp edge to the bun. The lobster roll was overstuffed so I ordered another toasted bun and made 2 lobster rolls!!! The fresh cut potato slices were a nice flavorful addition. The restaurant is contemporary and immaculate! I finally tried their popular fried shrimp which were exellent!

Today, was my first visit to Jax Fish Fry. It was indeed a great experience. I believe any great business starts with excellent employees like Caleb, Matthew and the young lady that were there today. A return visit is even more likely when customers are treated wonderfully. This staff shared there info on the business expansion, menu items, food origins, and desserts. They are truly an asset. The LOBSTER ROLL…OMG…PHENOMENAL. THE FRIES, THE MOST UNIQUE AND DELICIOUS! I’ve never had such good fries. AND, did I mention DESSERTS !! ??…from cheesecakes to cookies! Luv u Jax FF ♥️

I don’t like to speak badly about any business so please take my feedback with love. Atmosphere/service was nice, hence my 3 stars….chocolate cake was really good…food is below, maybe average at best. If you are looking for fried fish sticks, shrimp & chips this is your place. But without the sauces, don’t expect much if any seasoning. I’m almost embarrassed to say how much $ was spent with expectation to get a variety sample of offerings/experience. Lobster rolls were not dressed with anything and put me in the mind/taste of imitation…what happened to this being New England style? Frankly, I’ve had better lobster rolls at a grocery store..shout out to Hmart. I digress…the crab cake sliders were sad and tasted like pan-seared frozen deviled-crab stuffing and not good deviled crab. Fried oysters/clams were palatable but had to be drowned in tartar or cocktail sauce. Can we get something in that fry batter?? The highlight was the chocolate cake and the puffy “chips” aka fries. I had high expectations but this was a huge let down. Considering the # of menu options instead of “fish fry”, maybe “sea sands” or “rolls from the sea”. No Po’boys live here either.
