The food was a little dry. The portions were small. The macaroni salad was really good but it was such a small portion and the rice was good I feel like the chicken was So thin and dry. And the beef was just missing flavor, also the sauce seem too watery for me. The price was real good $11 dollars for the combo plate and the almond cookies 4 for a $1

Had lunch here today and was very happy, got the B5 which is a Deep fried shrimp in Panko (which I love ) and a scoop of rice and scoop of Mac salad that was delicious and nice and cold cause today was a hot day in the city. It was a very yummy simple kine plate lunch however I would definitely come back here for it & to even try out their other items as well. They don’t sell musubi though and the lady was very nice, and I didn’t have to wait long at all. Food was yummy and hot and ready. It cost

I came here for lunch because I was hungry and I gotta say I love this place soo much I totally reccomend coming here you wont regret it. The katsu chicken is super tender especially with the katsu sauce, the macoroni salad and the rice balls have an incredible taste with a reasonal price. The lady that works there is really nice and polite. It is very clean there and they suprisingly dont don’t take long with the food. They treat there food with love.

I left a review before on my old account so here’s my new one. This is my go-to place as of late during some medical hardship. I normally get the teriyaki chicken platter or the chicken katsu platter, sometimes with a side of macaroni, chicken rolls, or veggie rolls. The veggie bowl is just as good when I want something light. I remember when I first went about two years ago and it has always been so tasty since the start. The service is wonderful, very friendly employees, and even after a little issue with the portions when COVID hit, it seems to have gone back to normal. I always start eating the food before I remember to take a picture but I finally remembered. I ate some of the rice and macaroni before I took it, so I put one of the veggie rolls I got on top to make it look pretty for the picture lol.

I have had to adjust my review of this place DOWNWARD given that it raised its prices OVER $1.50 each for the items I am used to ordering. What I used to get for $6.18, NOW COSTS $8.47. Clearly the “management” of this place is placing greed before a customer’s budget, and this place needs to be BOYCOTTED INTO BANKRUPTCY ACCORDINGLY! I do NOT see myself ever ordering food from here again! They WON’T EVEN GIVE PLASTIC UTENSILS WITH THE ORDER NOW! GREEDY AND PATHETIC!

This place is the best! I’m from Kauai, and this is my fav plate lunch place in the San Diego area. Great flavor, generous portions, and super nice people! Do yourself a favor; check them out.

WHAT IS GOING ON??? I used to love this place…. Did they switched owners?? I know for sure the new cook(woman) is cheap with portions. The old man was the good cook. Portions sucks… Sorry but not going back.
