Our 1st time, got a table for 5 right away, greeted immediately and took our drink order. Server was stellar, very friendly, food came quickly. Big portions, nicely plated, tasty. Shrimp po boy was the hi lite, beignets were the only disappointment… dense with no flavor, lacked salt& sugar in the dough. Overall, recommend this cafe, large menu, well executed food, great service, we’ll definitely be back!

Hands down, one of the best breakfast places I have been to from coast to coast. Don’t let the name fool you. There is way more on the menu than just excellent Cajun cooking. Top 5 chilaquiles in my experience. Fresh squeezed orange juice was a real treat. The service was friendly and prompt, and the diner atmosphere is authentic. If you are a foodie, this is the place to go to when you’re in Goleta!

Quite a popular place, full boarding during breakfast. Reviews on the Internet are good, but the reality is disappointing. We ordered benedict and an omelette, they chose hash brown, both hash browns were burnt, this can be seen in the photo. I asked for a replacement because it was impossible to eat, after which they brought me exactly the same burnt hash brown. Before ordering, I asked the waiter to explain the details of the dish to me, he rolled his eyes and sighed. The service here is as burnt as hash brown

Amazingly delicious and fast!!! Seriously fast service. The food was awesome. Blackened catfish with eggs and home fries and a California eggs Benedict for me and of course beignets Louisiana style. I will definitely come back here again and try some other menu items…perhaps the jambalaya.

The food was excellent. I had breakfast in the bowl. It was called. Shrimp & Andouille. Cheesy grits, Louisiana hot link, (substitute Andouille) shrimp with over medium eggs. It had an awesome flavor and season well. I only needed to add some salt. Great place. The services were fantastic.

For the first time we passed by and there was no line at this location so we gave it a try. I’d been battling gout so I couldn’t have my favorite shrimp and grits, or even jambalaya. Instead, I had the blackened chicken.

Amazing Cajun restaurant! They have a great menu with big portions and reasonable prices. We got the shrimp & andouille sausage with eggs, cheese, & grits, and the fried chicken with eggs, bacon, gravy on an English muffin. Both super filling and great flavors. It was really crowded, but we did go on a Saturday morning in July. The staff was running around and giving as fast of service as they could. We’re definitely going back!

Cajun kitchen had amazing food 10-15 years ago, but now it has fallen off and is just average. At least the wait time to get a table was almost nothing.
