The inspiration for Yankee Pie Apizza was born in New Haven, CT. Among some of the greatest pizzerias of all time, earned New Haven the right to be declared, “The Pizza Capital of the World,” by world famous pizza reviewer, Dave Portnoy. It was in this great city where I learned the art of making this neo-neoplolitan style pizza that has affectionately become known as APIZZA (pronounced Ah-Beetz). Fueled by passion and desire to bring New England pizza to the south we decided to open up the original YANKEE PIE APIZZA in Historic St. Marys. We love Yankee Pie Apizza!! Our favorite is the Italian Bomb!! Also I had a two topping pie with Pepperoni and bacon! YUM! It’s in the perfect location of downtown St. Mary’s at the waterfront with a great family atmosphere. All of the staff have been super friendly! Go get some asap!! You won’t be disappointed!

I was fortunate enough to attend a soft opening at Yankee Pie Apizza and I must say…WOW! I tried 6 different pies and I could not say a bad thing about any of them. It was all soooo good. I had the Original Clam, Cristen’s Special, Hawaiian, White, Pepperoni, and the Italian Bomb. My personal recommendation would be the Original Clam or the Cristen’s Special. They all have just the right amount of cheese and sauce made with fresh ingredients. The amount of char (it’s not burnt!) on the thin crust was perfect for just the right amount of crisp. There is a family pavilion area with picnic tables, fire pits, an inflatable movie screen, and corn hole with lights so you can play at night. This place is going to change the entire dynamic of Downtown St Marys for family time. Bring lawn chairs (or blankets), order a pie, or better yet 4 (you’ll thank me later)…and take a seat to enjoy a family movie on the big screen 7 nights a week! You can’t beat it. Awesome New Haven style pizza with a local feel! The flavors are amazing. All the ingredients taste fresh and the combinations are great. I highly recommend the Italian Bomb. Downtown St Mary’s definitely needed this place. They are currently utilizing a food truck while the restaurant is being built, be ready for a wait though if the ovens get backed up but it’s totally worth the wait. When the main kitchen is completed they’ll have more oven space. I love that they are using the old post office and are planning on keeping the stone wall in the interior that I remember seeing as a kid while going to pick up mail with my grandparents. Owners and staff seem very friendly. Atmosphere is fun and inviting. I’m looking forward to enjoying this place for years to come.

This place has such an AMAZING, unique style of pizza!! Unlike ANYTHING I’ve tried before. But then I’ve never been to New Haven, CT. The owners have brought a slice of home to the deep south. And boy am I glad they did! Yankee pie combines all of my favorite aspects of pizza in a perfect size, thickness and quality. Wonderful pizza recipes with top notch quality toppings. Have already frequented and will frequent again. There’s a reason there’s a line. Who wants to go to a pizza place where nobody’s there?

Probably the best food I’ve had in Saint Marys so far. This will definitely be our go to pizza place. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We got the Italian Bomber and it didn’t disappoint. Can’t wait to try other pizzas!

Roxy and I stopped by to visit our friends who are working hard to give us this amazing pizza, I ordered the Italian bomb and the margarita pizza with sausage added. The margarita pizza didn’t make it to the pics because I ate it. The cheese is oozing just like I like it and the sauce is perfect! Love the char taste it has. Can’t say enough good things about this pizza. You’ll have to go try it!

Authentic Connecticut pie in GA. The foxon park soda was a nice touch! Used to manage a pizzeria in CT, and we sold Foxon Park as well. Try the Iron brew soda, you won’t regret it. The pie was delicious as well. Reminded me of home.
