Excellent fresh made bagels, wide selection of flavors and cream cheeses. Great coffee and chai, and delicious VT cheddar on their breakfast sandwiches. Coffee is serve it yourself, they just give you the cup and the flavoring. Highly recommend for a quick bite!

Top notch food at a reasonable price and great customer service. Everyone who works here needs a raise! This place often gets BUSY in the lunch rush and the staff get orders out shockingly quickly and correctly, or are quick to remedy any mishaps. It must be so stressful managing it all! And yet everyone I’ve interacted with is so patient and kind- making eye contact and wishing me a good day everytime 🙂

Very cute atmosphere! I love all the details inside this cafe. We were just passing through town on our way to Maine. My caramel latte had immense flavor. My partner’s carrot mango smoothie was really good too. The bagel sandwiches were just okay. It was a different kind of cheese than Im used to and threw me off.

Dana fixed me up with a delicious iced mocha latte with oat milk, today, as I was passing through Brattleboro, tired and weary after a long drive. The menu looked really good, but sadly I had to be on my way. Great atmosphere. And, Dana’s friendly nature made my day! I’ll be sure make time to dine next time I’m in town. Nice casual place in the middle of Brattleboro. Unfortunately, as a coffee house, they had no coffee! Apparently their coffee maker broke today. When I inquired on that, I received a snippy reply from one of the people behind the counter. Obviously not having a good day. I would give this place a higher rating if it was not for the first impressions of the service people. The food was good and the atmosphere is lovely but the first impression by the staff was very poor.

Delicious food and friendly waitstaff! A wide variety of healthy sandwiches, paninis, and bowls for vegetarians. They have an extensive drink menu with an excellent iced Chai. Our meals were fresh and very tasty. Atmosphere is fun and very hippie Vermont.

I looooove everything about this cafe… especially the good vibes… from those serving and preparing to those enjoying and consuming the delicious food and beverages. We had the Sunshine Burrito… OUTSTANDING… and grabbed to go 2 yummy almond croissants and the best chocolate chip cookie ever. If we lived closer, we’d be regulars… that’s how good and special The Works Cafe is… ENJOY!!

If you’re looking for a shop with sandwiches, paninis and smoothies, friendly counter service, and a nice coffee shop type atmosphere, this is a place to go. All of the restaurants we’ve been to in downtown Brattleboro are pretty much five star, for what they are, and this place is no exception. I particularly recommend the ham, cheddar and apple panini. And they also have good pickles which would definitely not illegal to sell in Maine.

Stopped by while traveling through town to get a to go breakfast for a hike . The sunrise grilled burrito is amazing ! The green machine smoothie was delicious and healthy. I try to replicate them both at home but can’t get it quite as good. The staff was hipster and welcoming . Coffee menu was solid. The place had many customers there to work and relax so if you want to dine in you can enjoy and not be rushed . Any place with local foods incorporated into a menu deserves to be checked out !
