In 2006, the Altomare brothers returned to Hudson, Ohio, a place they once called home, to embark on a dream they always held of once again working together alongside their father. Their dream became a reality in October of 2006 when the doors of Hudson’s Restaurant opened for the first time, creating a new Hudson landmark. Their hope is that one day history may repeat itself by J.J. and Kevin’s children, washing dishes on a milk crate – just the way they got started in the family business.

The staff here was very welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere was comfortable. I wish I could say I loved my lunch, but it was just okay. My spaghetti was 16.99 and so was the meatloaf. Meatloaf was served lukewarm but the waitress quickly reheated it . Pretty expensive for just okay food. The dessert was extra good though.

Customer service is great and the restaurant is clean. We tried the Walleye Fish Sandwich, Creamy Feta Pasta with chicken added, French Chicken Sandwich, and brownie sundae. The only dish I really liked and would recommend is the Pasta dish. The others were so-so. They could increase quality by making their own tartar sauce, cooking fries all the way through, and seasoning their dishes so they aren’t bland (I added salt in photos).

This is our family’s go-to place for comfort food on our annual trip to Ohio. We have been customers for four generations! The service is perfect. The staff is always exceptionally friendly. We love the food, and there are vegetarian options. We wouldn’t miss a meal at Hudson’s when we are in town.

This review is specifically for Saturday brunch and is a little bit food and a little bit service. First of all, we visit this restaurant at least once a week. I find it to be a little overpriced for what you get but if you order the right thing, it can be really good. However, we finally tried Saturday brunch and it was disappointing. I ordered the BAT (bacon, avocado and tomato) Benedict. I asked for no bacon but it also came with no tomato and the avocado was brown-ish with no flavor. The eggs were served over medium not poached as you would expect with a Benedict. My wife ordered the avocado toast and it was just two pieces of soggy bread with a thin slather of brownish avocado. It was inedible. I’ve never complained at a restaurant in my life. The waitress never checked back on us after dropping the food and we were literally seated right next to the kitchen so she passed by us several times. We had to flag down another waitress for ketchup to eat with the home fries and when our waitress finally checked back, I noted that my meal came without the tomato and my wife’s was sub par. She was defensive, grabbed a menu to point out that the avocado toast was marked as just avocado on the menu and she didn’t acknowledge my missing tomato at all. I understand that the kitchen makes mistakes and the food quality is not the responsibility of the server but if someone has an issue with the food, it is for the server to correct or acknowledge. If she had just said sorry about that, I’ll let the kitchen know, I would have been fine. I wasn’t going to ask them to remake it because we have a three year old and need to make restaurants trips happen pretty fast. We’ll always go back to Hudson’s for dinner but probably won’t return for brunch.

Well, this place is great to eat at with simply amazing views on the outer patio! The food is excellent and we were very pleased with the service that we received. The photos below are of the Hudson Burger which had arugula, mushrooms, jalapeno bacon, and a garlic aioli all on a Brioche bun. Excellent burger.

Awesome food, service & atmosphere. Delish Walleye (my table enjoyed blackened & fried). The bloody Mary & mimosa were mixed just right. I will be at repeat customer. A true gem for Hudson, Ohio!

I’m the heart of the charming town of Hudson, this is a great place for a relaxing lunch with friends. The chicken bruschetta was cooked perfectly, and the service was phenomenal.

Very nice experience in the middle of Hudson, meeting ex-co-workers after a long pandemic. Accommodating staff, quiet atmosphere. My tuna melt was delicious. Not as expensive as I expected for the location.

Quick and friendly service and the food and drinks were great as well. If you go from the end of November until Christmas they have a pop up Christmas bar called Blitzens featuring holiday drinks and it’s all decorated! I highly recommend visiting at this time of the year!
