I am pleasantly surprised at how amazing the food was. I opted with to go with a recommendation from the owner, a pulled pork sandwich. The sauce they used with it was delicious and complemented the pork perfectly. It’s a great quick bite it can seem a bit pricy but it’s makes sense once you understand the quality of food. The portions are definitely more than enough to be filled on 10-15 dollars. All in all a great lunch time snack.

Are you kidding me…real BBQ right here in our corner of heaven? Yes, Boucanes is back…same place that was over on White Rock. The opened a restaurant in Folsom, and are back to EDH with their second location. Glad they’re back. Insider tip: call early in the day for ribs if you’re dreaming of their amazing smokey sweetness for dinner, they will sell out. I missed ribs last visit, but I did try the smoked turkey for the first time which was equally delicious. High recommend.

Great barbeque . Their brisket is better than Texas West on fulton . The big turn off for this place is the nickle and diming . They ask you if you want pickles then cheese then if you want sauce on the sandwich . My question is shouldnt that come on it to begin with ? All you put on your sandwich is meat . Sauce comes in the sandwich but they want you to say yes to all the extras so they can charge for each one . Then I come to find out they just put their own tip on the total . I dont tip weird amounts like 1.77 . I especially dont tip someone thats only job is to sit on their ass and take orders .They have a soda fountain that only water comes out of . Its been like that for months . No fries . REALLY ? Barbeque with no fries ? Like I said the food is good but the nickle and diming will drive you nuts along with the lack of a soda fountain and fries .

Stopped in for a quick bite on my way back downtown; food is superb, service is excellent, and the staff are very friendly. I’ll remember this joint every time I’m in the area. Brisket was the best I’ve ever had.

A BBQ Restaurant that charges extra for sauce??? My wife and I were in the area and wanted to give this place a shot. We stopped in and proceeded to place our orders. As each of us placed our order at the counter, the cashier asked each of us if we wanted extra sauce. Because I had never been there before and didn’t know how much sauce came with the meal, we just agreed. After he went over a recap of what we ordered, I asked him if the extra sauce was an added charge. He proceeded to explain that it was, because their sauce is home made. I didn’t make an issue of this, but just find it really odd for a bbq joint to charge extra for sauce. And even more odd, we didn’t inquire about extra sauce, he asked us as we ordered our food. As if they know they don’t provide enough and want to upsell you on more. Little stuff like that is just weird to me and kinda rubbed me the wrong way. I wouldn’t mind if they were just upfront about it and said ” hey, here is how much sauce comes with your meal, if you want extra, its an extra 50 cents.” rather then making it seem like there just tossing in extra sauce, but actually charging for it. Or, just provide an adequate amount of sauce!

Nice folks but the food……..the smoke flavor tasted like it was infused with chemicals, and the BBQ sauce was more of a bland gravy type. I live nearby and wanted to love it, but it just wasn’t meant to be.

Had 3 meat sampler. All was great! Sauce was wonderful. Cornbread muffin was very fresh. Very friendly! I’ll be back.
