It’s unfortunate that a few people gave this a one-star rating simply because the place was closed. That’s like giving a bad Amazon review to a product because the shipping took too long. This is some of the best food you’ll ever have, cooked by one indefatigable and incredibly sweet Thai grandma, her two relatives, and very occasional American help. She had a full life before moving to the U.S. to open a small take-out business and cooks for the love of it. She grows much of her own food and travels to DC once a week to get hard-to-find ingredients for her kitchen. When you are as awesome and hard-working as May is, you have the right to take the phone off the hook or put the closed sign up whenever you want. She can open anytime she likes and get plenty of customers. I probably succeed in getting food there one out of every four times I call, but in a weird way, that’s part of the appeal. If you want a restaurant that’s always available and predictable, go to Subway. If you want better Thai food than you’ve ever had anywhere else, take a chance that your phone call to Thai Siam will go through. It’s worth it.

Much like the soup nazi in Seinfeld, this place is amazing and they know it. They get extremely busy for a little take out place in the middle of no where. Frequently they are so busy they close the doors early or just take the phone off the hook. Expect to have some of the best Thai food you’ve ever tried but don’t assume you “deserve” it or to be waited on like some restaurants… 😉

The food is amazing. The owner and her staff are horrible. Never felt so bad about going anywhere. They are busy so they take it out on everyone. They take phone off hook. I arrived to pick up my order which was supposed to be ready at 5:00. She yelled at me that I came too early. It was 4:55. I didn’t mind waiting. All she had to do is say it wasn’t quite ready. It’s the same story every time I go there. The place is filthy. They are supposed to be a take out place but some how ignore the health department laws and get away with it. Why don’t you close the business if you hate the people so much. She also picked up phone while I was in there and yelled into it, “we are too busy. No more orders.” and slammed the phone down and then took it off the hook. For $26 for two take out dishes I should have gone to nearby Vitos Italian Restaurant where the food is always great the people who work there are nice and you it’s clean.

Good Priced Delicous Thai Food.. I think its the best Thai food i have ever had. But…. The customer service is horrible. Ive been there several timesand if you show up at 6 sometimes they wont even serve you and they’ve tried to rush me to hurry up and order.. But i always go back because i love the food. 🙂

excellent food extremely rude women; I will never go back there…had a horrible experience yesterday with my friends… I will never spend my hard earned money just to be treated like s***. Unfortunate. And we didn’t get there late in the day, we arrived at opening…….just so rude, I’m still in disbelief..

My husband and I got there at 7:30 pm on a Saturday. They were closed even though they are supposed to stay open until 8 pm. There were 3 employees inside and they decided to ignore us and basically didn’t care. Very very disappointing and we will never go back
