It IS French. Not some ostentatious caricature of France or it’s cuisine, but the honest, kind, and attentive soul of France; in food and service. It is an ironic outpost of the counter-transactional, in a town contrived from the desert as a transaction. It’s so genuine, it feels like a phenomenon.

We try to go there once a month especially for the French onion soup. Family get togethers and when friends come from out of town. Always the same comments I can’t believe such a place like this exist in Ridgecrest. I’ve always enjoyed my meals there, and the owner and his family are truly French. They take everything they do very seriously when it comes to their food their atmosphere and their service. this restaurant belongs in a major city but I am so glad it’s in Ridgecrest.
