At our Tucker, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

We were greeted with”GO HEAD WITH YOUR ORDER” on January 4th 2023 at around 7pm. I should have just drove off but I really wanted the fish sandwich and hoped for a better experience at the window. Well I wasn’t too shocked to be hit with more attitude at the window. “HERE YOU GO MUST BE PART OF YOUR TRAINING ” because those are the only words I heard through out my experience. I received brown lettuce on my fish sandwich. The young lady had a terrible attitude the entire time. She handed me greasy sticky drink cups. The whole experience was so awful.

I stopped by the drive-thru. Two people ahead of me, and a 10-minute wait just to place my order. A 15 minute wait to receive my food, right under 30 minutes. There goes my lunch break! Not worth the wait, not worth the hassle. Not worth the price. There are plenty of other to go food restaurants nearby.

When I visit Atlanta I would frequently visit Captain D’s. Now that is a thing of the past. Cold food. The place was empty and this was the 2nd location. Now I know why they are empty. I order southern style and the cook didn’t know how to prepare it. Sad to see another American restaurant bite the dust.

My fish was very palatable and hot. The baked potatoes where the best I have from a restaurant in a while from any restaurant very fresh and cooked to perfection. The potatoes was white on the inside not brown or burnt due being over cooked! I will return!

Ordered online. Told it would take 5 minutes. Was not ready when I arrived 20 minutes later. Nothing done to appease being late. Not even a decent apology. Took another 10 minutes for them to prepare it. 30 minutes total. Won’t be coming back.

Excellent service, way better than in years past, however, I was missing a crab cake from my seafood platter and the one I got was cooked to an inedible crisp and I had to throw it away , and the side item portions were half the usual amount. I literally got 6 french fries and a small spoonful of cole slaw. Not sure if this was done on purpose as a company-wide mandate to save money or a worker mishap. Also, the cleanliness of this location isn’t good at all; even though they were fully staffed. I assume cleaning isn’t part of their job function. ‍♂️

Ms.”GO AHEAD WITH YOUR ORDER” need some customer service training skills. Don’t nobody got time for the attitude, People can feel that terrible energy through the speaker. I couldn’t even look at the menu and figure out what i wanted because I was being yelled at after telling her one second. I went on 12/21 @ 6:15pm. Train your associates to greet customers better. I DONT WANT NOBODY ACTING LIKE THAT HANDLING MY FOOD.

First time in a Captain D’s in about 30 years but wanted a fish sandwich. I took my kids who pushed back. The food was good but I gave this 5 stars for the three young men working here. They were really nice and made us feel welcome. We will be back.
