Second time I’ve been in 24hrs! Josh, Kane and Ruth are great, and the food incredible. I posted about eating here and heard back from several about why I had waited. Daily/Weekly drink specials including bottomless mimosas and half margaritas are worth it. The “Mucho Grande” looks like a shareable but it can definitely be eaten alone

Traveling from out of town and grabbed take out from EL CID. We loved it! Fantastic authentic cuisine with a large menu. Moderate amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Decor is modern/hip meets Mexicana diner. The service was also great, both on the phone and at pick up! Highly recommend.

Came from Georgia with my guy friend bringing his daughter to UK and we visited a lot of places. Wanted to visit the place across the street because of the crowd but we came here. The server was extremely nice and attentive. I started with the nachos.. lemme tell y’all. They was the best I ever had .. try the barbecoa beef. The quesadillas and tacos were good also.. and of course the Don Julio marg was great as well.

I ate with two friends of mine! The food came out in a very timely manner! It was our first time dining here and the food was very flavorful and at a very appropriate temperature. They did not serve chips and salsa, but that was ok! Top notch place that I recommend visiting when in Lexington, KY

We got El Cid delivery. Anytime you get delivery it’s not going to be as good as in the restaurant. But with that said it was quite yummy! My husband got the queso burrito and said the flavor was really good but slightly too creamy. I got the fajita tacos and asked for it on flour shells (which they did) and they were good. Lastly we got the Guacamole. It I’d chunky and it was good. I wouldn’t say this is by far the best Mexican ever but it definitely wasn’t bad. We’re in a hotel and asked for silverware and didn’t get it. Lastly, the Guacamole was good but had WAY too much onion. We had a hole pile of onion left over because there was so much in it.

Food was decent. The service was nice however the atmosphere is absolutely atrocious. Blasting loud American rap music to the point where conversing with another person is impossible. Any Mexican restaurant that has this kind of atmosphere is an immediate red flag.

So glad Hacienda told us to “call back when you get here and place your order then wait on order to be filled since over $20” we called El Cid and decided to try it for the first time. We got the quesataco, burrito, chorizo queso and mixed fajitas. Everything was so good! It was ready in 20 minutes, the staff were friendly. Curbside is no longer available though, that disappointed. We will be going back to try other menu items.
