Clean place inside. Warm and inviting staff. Owner is their often and very welcoming. Can’t beat $1 anywhere. Nice little store inside. Also does still sell limited produce ( tomatoes, lettuce ect ) just ask as its in the fridge in back.

Going down Calumet ave there is a sign that says. “Grand opening $1 tacos”. Since i loooove tacos i thought this is a winner for me. I walked in the store to be surprised that they have common store beverages snacks and tobacco products as well. Bonus….Food is made fresh right before your eyes. Employees are friendly courteous and family oriented. I had 2 steak 2 chicken tacos they were meaty made how i asked and delicious. I will definitely be back and also recommend them to anyone who loves good food with excellent service.

This place is supposedly under new ownership. Since the change, they have been cheap as hell. They charged me extra for adding sour cream on my tacos which I paid for. None of my tacos came with sour cream. This is the second time I’ve ordered sour cream and paid for it and did not get any sour cream. Also, I asked for extra green and red salsas for my tacos. When I got back to work, there were none in my bags. I used to come here all the time because I work in Hammond because the food was great. Now, they charge you for all accommodations and you don’t even get any of the things you paid for. I will no longer be purchasing food from here.

It’s small place with big taste, like a hidden gem and I found it. TACOS at the best price and authentic Mexican corn is worth going back to 3 times daily!

If I could give zero stars I would. We door dashed two steak burrito dinners from this place and they substituted them with nachos without ever notifying us or the dasher. Those aren’t even items kind of similar. Just unacceptable and lazy.

Here you will find a combination of great customer service and delicious food. I come for the tacos more often than I should. But for $1 a piece, I seldom feel bad. The workers are always very welcoming which is rare to find these days. I really like visiting this establishment.
