My husband and I stopped here for lunch on Friday. We had eaten at this restaurant previously over several years. The owner and employees were always hospitable. The menu offered a variety of home cooked food. There was a soda fountain that served delicious ice cream desserts. The restaurant had a steady stream of customers. However, we noticed everything had changed. New owners, new menu, new look, and a new attitude. Our waitress treated us as if we were an inconvenience. The food was mediocre at best. The prices were higher. The lunchtime crowd was gone. The restaurant was in need of refurbishing and cleaning. At the end of our meal, we paid the bill and left. It is so sad to see what was once a successful business crumbling before our eyes. Suffice to say, we won’t return.

It was a quaint little place we stopped at on the way home from from General Mitchell Airport in Milwaukee. The food was very good and staff was friendly. I had the hamburger and fries, my wife had the double, two pancakes, two eggs and two bacon.

Very nice simple breakfast restaurant on Elkhorns courthouse square. Pleasant staff, affordable breakfasts, hot coffee. The New York strip and eggs is a great value, cooked to order. Nice marble rye.

We got to try this place for the first time, it wasn’t so busy, and the server was very nice and prompt. I ordered the tuna melt and my partner got the ham and cheese sandwich. The tuna melt tasted good like homemade with melted American cheese slices on top. The fries were the best. My partner enjoyed his sandwich and fries as well. We ordered a chocolate shake too, but the server forgot, which we don’t blame her for that, because it got busy in there, and she was the only waitress working there. So we took the shake to go, and it was a decent tasting shake. I loved the photographs on the wall of the history of the place!

Great breakfast. The food was great but a star off because something made my mouth tingle like an mild mild allergic reaction. It was either the syrup or pancake and it is not their fault if I have reactions. If the syrup is real maple then probably the pancake. If syrup is corn based maybe that was it.
