It was my son’s birthday so we went to eat dinner there. I have never been to the restaurant per se but I’ve had their food many times and it was delicious. So on this Sunday evening we decided to go sit down and have dinner. First, I loved the atmosphere. Everyone there was very pleasant. Ms Sheila seated us (hey)! I informed the cashier that it was my son’s birthday in passing and that’s why we were there. That’s all I needed to say, she greeted him and asked him if he would like some ice cream and my son said yes, Lord have mercy, during dinner someone came to ask him what ice cream he liked and he told them. After dinner, they brought him the biggest strawberry shortcake ice cream, with whipped cream and cherries on top! That made my day. They took the time to cater to him, needless to say I helped him with the ice cream. I ordered with my eyes, so I had to take a lot of food home. My kids enjoyed the fried chicken more than anything else. We had a great time. Thank you.

I spent over $50 at Lilly’s and it was not a good experience. A woman with box braids and braces poor customer service. She had a rude demeanor to her. I asked for hot Mac and cheese that came out because the cold one was sitting at the front. I was told no but again I’m spending more than $50. She then made a side remark to the another lady next to her thinking i wouldn’t understand the comment she made in the secondary language she spoke. Time to check she seemed to be irritated. I asked if my cake was in the bag she walked a way and said nothing. Now let’s talk about the food. I ordered two dinner platters. The ribs were good. The sides were nasty. Mac and cheese was soggy. Cabbage was Unseasoned. The collard greens was more like kale. Whatever meat they cook the greens in, don’t use it. Very nasty. The greens was also soggy. Yams where okay. Cornbread should be consistentlly coming out since it comes with every meal. Cornbread wasnt good. Strawberry cake was fair. Overall it’s a shame I won’t be returning because of customer service and Quality of food. It might not matter that me or others might not return but looking at other reviews somethings should be changed.

I just moved here from Boston. When I saw a black business offering soul food in the area I decided to bring my 3 kids here for lunch and boy was I regretful for wasting my time. I was greeted with attitude and felt uncomfortable the whole time we ate.

Currently a 2nd year culinary student and heres my honest my review:Absoutely disgusting the candied yams were watery almost like a soup. Curry chicken looked like as if someone had mixed chicken with vomit, Bile, and diarehia and then thrown it onto a plate.chicken was all bones and no chicken The only thing that was somewhat decent was the mac and cheese which had green stuff it in so I guess now it should be called Mac and sneeze instead of Mac and cheese. Instead of lilys soul food this place should be called lilys dog food. For 22$ I expect far better food quality.

7/16/23The place was packed, my daughter recommended Lilly’s place because she knows how particular and passionate I am about great foods. I gave them four star for service due to the fact that there was a line out the door ( not a lot of room to stand) it felt like I was waiting in the high school cafeteria line , and everyone waited way too long to be served. Everything in the buffet line looked delicious. I do have to admit I wanted to purchase a lot more then I did. My first purchased dinner included collard greens, fried chicken thighs(you only get three if you only want thighs) and Mac and cheese. The second meal I picked fried fish, cabbage, and stuffing. Everything was delicious but I was a little disappointed when I dove into the stuffing( it had sugar in it) , the cabbage and collard greens were missing the juices which

Decent local soul food spot. Not a large selection of meats/sides & Prices are a bit high, considering the portion size, but the food was flavorful and fresh. The desserts (not pictured) are good as well. The Obamapunch was a bit too sweet, but refreshing at the same time (not pictured).The service is OK and I love the renovations they’ve recently done to the space which allows you to dine in or host a gathering. Overall definitely check this place out if you’re looking for good local soul food.

There are so many Caribbean restaurants around this area and I stopped to get food at lilllys .. actually from outside it looked a very good restaurant . Inside was good too. Few tables to sit and eat . It was like a buffet menu inside and you can order what you like . I had rice and some chicken curry with a veggie . I thought it would be around 10-15$ , but was quite expensive . They charged me about 25-30$ ! Very very expensive ! Food tasted ok , but for this money , It’s not worth . Will not go back again . Lots of parking outside though. Customer service was very good ! Overall an average experience
