Ming’s is known as what I would call a Macon Cult Attraction. The food isn’t anything special, but the locals rave about the taste and quality. I was really let down on both visits that I had with Mings. While it checks all the visual boxes for a hole in the wall vibe, it misses the mark with flavor.

Closer to a 4.5 instead of a 4. Fried rice is not the typical yellow fried rice, more that brown type a few restaurants have. Pretty good. Tried the General Tso’s Chicken on my first visit and it is good. Service is currently drive thru only. I would rank this as one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area.

I will not be returning to this location again. I ordered mixed vegetables and vegetable egg foo young from the lunch menu. I opened my meals as soon as I got home and found that I had old stale flabby soggy inedible broccoli in my mixed vegetables. I called back to discus and they wanted to give me some song and dance about it was an hour or more since I got it so that’s what happens. No that’s not what happens. I eat broccoli regularly and you can’t tell me that some good broccoli is going to turn bad within an hour and a half. Save your money and go someplace where they will start off your order with fresh food and vegetables. The problem with these Asian restaurants is that they want to serve you substandard food and when you complain about it they want to do nothing about it. I will learn how to prepare my own Asian meals from here on out. I have found NOT ONE consistently good chinese restaurant here in Macon.

The rice has literally NO FLAVOR. The vegetables in the rice were ONLY peas and a few onions. I ordered honey wings and fried rice and this rice look and tasted like regular brown rice in a “success box”. I literally had to put my own Salt on this rice. I’m so disappointed. This the 2nd Chinese food spot I’ve tried in Macon with horrible rice! The chicken was bland. I was better off cooking at home. Ugh!

Great food and great prices! I love this place. Food is always fresh and tasty. Only gripe….the location is in a shopping plaza, so traffic is horrible and the restaurant has limited seating when available. Great food though….it’s worthwhile!

The amount of food they give you is unbelievable! We will eat on this for days. The price is perfect. It was fresh and hot and FAST. They have a drive thru window as well. They put bean sprouts in their fried rice and that alone sold me. We ordered two entrees, an order of spring rolls even though our dinners came with egg rolls and a small side of steamed broccoli and omg, it was more broccoli than could have hoped for! Just look at the pictures!!! SOOOO MUCH FOOD. We paid less than $30! That’s wild.

So usually this restaurant would receive a 5 star rating however we were cheated out of money and food on 12/05/19!!!! I ordered over the phone with the lady who I believe owns the restaurant and she’s very sweet as usual! When I arrived to pick up our order she read the order back and it was correct( receipt is correct) only to get home to realize the order was completely wrong!! So of course I call and they were already closed. I call this morning to explain that we paid for 2 dinner combos one with Sesame and Sweet and Sour Chicken and the other with General Tso Chicken.. The picture below is what we received!! We also paid to have egg in our rice which as you can see is missing. The owner tells me i should’ve brought the food back!! How is that possible when the restaurant was already closed when we realized what we had received was incorrect?? All that I requested was to be reimbursed for the food that we didn’t receive and I was given 2 thousand excuses as to why that couldn’t happen!! I’ve eaten at this restaurant for over 7 years but the way I was treated over their mistake has caused me to eat elsewhere!! Stop stealing from your customers!!
