I can’t rave enough about my experience with Lait Cru over and over again. Their monthly themed dinners are a must, they are usually accompanied with wine or beer pairings. Their brunch is fantastic, the wine selection is unique and their oysters… ah the best I’ve had in Buffalo. The staff is so great and Jill, the owner is one of the best people I’ve had the pleasure meeting.

Went in on a Wednesday around dinner time and sat at the bar. We were immediately offered water and food and drink menus. I ordered a few appetizers and a glass of Prosecco. The oysters tasted amazing and were very fresh, the steak tartar was good, and we also had a cheese board that was on happy hour special. Service (by Dylan) was great, and he was knowledgeable on any questions we had. Can’t wait to go back for entrees and also brunch!

This is a very Charming restaurant. I was very impressed with the selection on the menu. The only reason I can’t give a higher rating right now is because there was an over salting on the poultry. I’m sure it was an isolated case. The risotto was perfect. The vegetables were perfect. And the goat cheese apricot and pistachio crust dessert was superb. The owner is very charming and engaging. The setting is very appropriate. I will return.

Just a regular American Breakfast with a french name. Let’s said the atmosphere its cool, nice open concept cuisine, but .. french no at all. At least for me was looking for a french place for a family brunch and ended eating mostly fried stuff, they serve myself first just a fried burrito called chimichanga??, when the rest of the food arrived mine was cold, eggs overcooked and the best was the dumpling. Overprice and i don’t think will be returning again. If you are looking as me for a french place them you will be disappointed.

The one cocktail I had and the coffee were very good. That’s about all we got to experience though because our waitress forgot about us outside for an hour… After we ordered 2 sandwhiches.. I don’t know if they were understaffed or the kitchen fell behind but we just paid for our drinks and cancelled our order. Maybe the food is worth the hype (we wouldn’t know though) but the service definitely isn’t.

I went to Lait Cru for my first time last night with much anticipation and it did not disappoint! The entire experience was incredible. The atmosphere is quiet and quaint, bearing all its goods out in the open with the kitchen right off the the side of the dining room- nothing more than a open air pantry to obscure your relationship with the chefs. Sarah, the bar manager and do-it-all woman was extremely attentive and packed with knowledge and good energy to infect the room- she gave us great recommendations and made a killer cocktail!!

We had the opportunity to enjoy a phenomenal meal here prior to a Shea’s performance. In true French Bistro style, the menu is complete without being overwhelming. I ordered the chicken – something I never do – and was so pleased with its crisp skin and perfectly cooked meat. It was served on a bed of delicious lentils and was warming and satisfying. The steak frites was prepared traditionally and was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We did a selection of cheeses from the attached cheese shop that complimented our meal quite well, and Desserts were Devine. We have yearned for a casual french bistro to open up in the area and I believe this will fit the bill. I look forward to long lunches this winter with a bottle of stout red wine, some cheese and a bit of pastry to nibble on. This please is just what we needed.
