We had the Cali roll, the Auburn, and one another whose name escapes me right now, and all were very tasty.

This place deserves 10 stars. Wait staff is so kind, the food is amazing, and there are so many options for sushi rolls. They have amazing sauces to go with the rolls as well. Whenever I am done eating here I plan a day to come back!

I just moved to town and was delighted to move close to this restaurant. I’d eaten there just 2 times before. I got kicked out this 3rd visit saying that I’d been kicked out before and i wasn’t welcome back there. I tried to speak with the manager about confusing me with someone else, but they said they were sure about not being mistaken. I had gone there and tipped well and loved the food and complimented the waitresses and wasnt rude in any way and I’d never been kicked out before. I was so sad to be kicked out while in line and told that i was already told i wasn’t welcome back. Confused and upset. It felt so wrong to me. I felt singled out without a reason

Love this place every time I visit Grass Vally. Nice selection of rolls and yummy. Friendly service. Would have been 5 stars but the music is rather loud and hard to have conversations with others at my table. I would tone down the music a bit for a more pleasant dining experience.

Our favorite sushi spot in Grass Valley. We have yet to try a roll we don’t like at this restaurant. The waitresses are nice. If you go when it’s busy I suggest to order a miso soup and/or edamame or the firecracker roll (cream cheese stuffed jalapeño that is lightly fried), it is so good and not at all spicy. Because the food may take a little while to come out but worth the wait.

Casual. Good sushi. The only place open on mondays which happens to be the day I want to go to Sushi. I have only had good experience thus far. Frequently get takeout, occasionally dine in

This placed moved into a familiar and comfortable spot for me, so stars off the bat. The food we tried was good: mixed tempura, miso and a few rolls. The tempura was clean and crispy, the rice toothy but not crunchy and all the ingredients fresh. The miso is not the weak excuse for broth some other places might serve, a favorite dish of mine at any sushi place. The price doesn’t quite match the quality, though there are less expensive options (like the miso soup!!) Staff was friendly and quick and the environment was unpretentious and not loud. Will be back. I have one complaint about one of the rolls we ordered, but only on mix of textures and not about freshness, presentation or service.

Really good. Our favorites so far are The Lion King roll, Ninja roll and the Titanic. I would not bother with the NY cheesecake for dessert though…it was not worth the $6.95 price (warm, 1/4-1/2″ thick and maybe 3″ in length…for a N.Y. cheesecake!!)

Aozora is a casual sushi spot in Grass Valley. Rolls between $8-15 / roll, they have beer and sake, and teriyaki.

I love, love, love this place! My favorite roll is the Lion King, but I’ve loved everything I’ve tried. It has a great atmosphere and the staff is friendly.
