After a full morning of exploring the covered bridges around Scio, we ate lunch at the Covered Bridge Bakery and BBQ. It’s much more than a bakery – they have a full lunch and dinner menu. The patty melt was excellent!

I know my review doesn’t matter when there are hundreds of positive reviews but if you are anywhere in this area especially backpacking or road tripping this cafe is worth making a stop for! They cook everything fresh so you may have less of a selection if you come later in the day. Be sure to ask for their specials.

Our first visit to this restaurant and you can believe the rating they have. I was with a small group and all our meals were superb. Scrambled eggs very fluffy, hash brown potatoes were very very good. Buckwheat pancakes just right. Great bacon and a generous serving. I had corned beef hash, eggs sunny, and it was excellent, big pieces of corned beef and those wonderful potatoes. Prices are reasonable and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We had a chance to speak with Trish, the owner, and I can see why her staff is so good. She hires in her image. If you have not been there, go. You will not be disappointed.

This place was amazing! The food was out of this world, the waitress was so nice I wanted to take her with us, and everything was made in house! If you haven’t tried this place, it’s a must!! The picture is of the caramel pecan roll French toast I had, yum!!
