I made special trip to NY from west coast for this place. My favorite is the clear spicy broth (tom zap) and of course the garlic fried rice. The dipping sauces are special too. I made sure to come by before 5pm to avoid dinner rush.

The best hot pot place in NYC, and probably my favorite of all the hot pot places ever. The only Thai hot pot place that I know of in the city as well.

Usually ayce hot pot places are Chinese hot pot, but this one is Thai. The broth here is really good, especially the Yen Ta Fo (chinese beancurd) one. It’s a little sour and well-seasoned. Their garlic fried rice is also delicious! The place is located on 2nd floor, is pretty small (if you have a big party, your party might be separated to 2 tables), and takes cash only.

We visited NY and stayed at Hilton/midtown. It took us almost an hour to come to Jaew Hon in Queens. What I have to say is that it was worth it!! The restaurant was on the second floor. It had so many options on the menu to order. This restaurant is a buffet with time limit for 90 mins. We were here on Sunday at 6.45pm and it was not too busy. The food came out a lot on each order. I usually eat a lot,but couldn’t order the second round. ☺

All you can eat! Located on the second floor. Food are fresh. I don’t know if this is traditional Thai hot pot but full houses means good for the public.

So far the best place for authentic Jaew Hon. It’s the only place I know that serve this hot and spicy soup and it’s wonderful. My husband is not good with cooking food on the table so the restaurant let us order Thai food from a Thai place downstairs! So we had a variety of great Thai food. It was a great night and well worth the money.

Fantastic! Limited amount of meat selections, but you can ask for seconds (or thirds) and you can pickup as many vegetables or other items to include fish balls, cooked rice, etc… to fill your appetite. This place was packed and we waited about 15 minutes before being seated. It was our first Thai All-You-Can-Eat Buffet dining experience. Definitely worth a revisit. Courteous staff and credit is not accepted. Make sure to bring cash.
