The food was average but the staff was very friendly and polite. To be fair, I’m not a huge Mexican Food person, so maybe to others, this would get more stars but I’ll definitely come back if I want Mexican food again. The dining room is small and wall decors are somewhat dated but maybe that’s the point?

I’m surprised there are no other reviews on here that make mention of this restaurant’s filth. There are so many fruit flies hovering in the basement, one almost flew in my mouth as I took a drink of my warm beer. I believe I may have found one of the sources behind the flies (see attached picture, knot in wood table holding old, crusty, moldy food/rice). Slow service, semi-cranky and average food. I don’t recall another restaurant that I have been to that has had this many insects flying around inside. Absolutely disgusting.

The food here is delicious! Often times service is slow during lunch time even when they aren’t busy, so make sure to plan plenty of time. The bar downstairs is so fun and a favorite of many locals!

Their margaritas are SO GOOD! They don’t taste fake and overly boozy- super easy to drink on a warm night if you’re lucky enough to snag a table outside. Owner is very kind and checks in on guests. You can tell he cares about his patrons. Tacos are excellent and staff works hard and efficiently! Love coming here

Food was excellent. Service friendly. My only complaint is that the guacamole. And sour cream hat came with was less than 1/2 Tablespoon each. I did get more guac…but at a price of $3.50. There should have been a bit more with the dish to begin with.

It’s a cute little restaurant. They sat us down but didn’t give us any menus and then sat the people behind us down and gave them menus not long after they sat. It was kind of weird. They didn’t realize that we didn’t have menus until the waitress was trying to take our drink order. The food was okay. Not very fresh in my opinion. The tamale that I had was not good. Very plain and didn’t taste fresh. Seems like it was made a few days before and was just microwaved. I expected better food from recent reviews. The positive is that the staff is nice.

We like to dine here when we aren’t in the mood to cook. Overall, food is great – taste & quality are wonderful. Service sometimes leaves something to be desired, especially if you sit downstairs. We have dined at the bar upstairs, in the dining room, and at the bar downstairs. The atmosphere is great, drinks are cold and tasty, and the food is right. It all depends on where you’re seated.

Was so excited for our ” new” Mexican experience. Unfortunately my burrito…well after the hard bay leaf bite, thought that was over. But next got a bone. No flavor. Uncomfortable booths. Made me feel real closterphobic and tight. 2 desserts…and missing the one i wanted. Staff seemed to forget about me periodically. Wish i had something good to say. But this is why i did review.

Flavorful food served in sizes that are perfect for me. The employees make it very obvious that they care about having you as a customer, one time a few weeks ago my waitress was practically running because she wanted to make sure everybody was getting great service. The food quality is superior to most other locations of this area and their specials are very reasonable as well.
