The food was AMAZING! so much flavor and the portions are generous. Monica was my server and she went above and beyond to make me smile, laugh and was just such a joy to be around. The other lady that was there also checked on our table often and made sure our drinks were filled and we were happy. I highly recommend this place. I had such a good time and I can’t wait to go back.

Simple spot offering great Mexican food! They’re low key but well run. The menu is well designed and easy to find online, which is much appreciated. Service was also great! Food was delicious and authentic. Chorizo tacos were to die for, and their guac was so fresh! Chips are also another highlight, crunchy and warm. Can’t wait to go back and try some of their drinks!

What a great little gem. From the outside it looks like a whole in the wall, but once you enter you are greeted with cool art work and great food. We enjoyed our lunch. The quesa birria was very flavorful. We’d definitely go back. The service was great as well.

Great little Mexican restaurant! House made chips and salsa, authentic corn or flour tortillas, and excellent top shelf guacamole (best value in town). We go here often and usually order from the vegetarian menu. Always satisfied, always fresh! Also a delicious selection of house made drinks like strawberry lemonade made with real strawberries! Fantastic and prompt service!

Love love love . Food is authentic Mexican and it may look like a hole in the wall type of place but it’s clean the people are amazing and the food is great especially on Wednesday they have the birra Roman tacos with soup for 10 dollars. Don’t sleep on them. You won’t leave hungry.

Pretty disappointed… my first and last order. The birra tacos didn’t have enough cheese. Not much flavor. Ordered nachos deluxe, chips were hard and too much beef. Found a hard green leaf in it. Esquite was extremely disappointing. Expected creamy and cheesy but it was so juicy and limey that I couldn’t taste much. Waste of money unfortunately… 🙁

The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the food is delicious and very fairly priced. I consider it the best Mexican restaurant in the area by far – if you live near UCF, it’s definitely worth making the drive out here rather than going to either of the Mexican restaurants off of University Blvd.

I recently visited El Molcajete , and I was blown away by the entire experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff and seated promptly. The atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming and comfortable, with just the right amount of lighting and music to create a relaxing ambiance.

So good. Finally a place with real tacos (handmade corn tortilla, meat topped with onions and cilantro). First time having birria tacos with consume (forget the dish’s name) was delicious. Will return again!
