Terrible!! I really hate to write this review. As someone else stated the people there are sweet, however I don’t want anyone to be as disappointed as I was once I received my food. What you see pictured is jerk chicken with white rice and cabbage for $15 and the next picture is oxtails with Mac & greens for $19. I had the oxtails and my husband had the jerk chicken. Too much money with not enough food. It’s literally 3 pieces of oxtails pictured and one piece of jerk chicken. The oxtails were delicious they had a beef stew taste not the Jamaican taste one may be use to. The mac and cheese was absolutely disgusting and the greens were glory greens from the can. My husband said the jerk chicken was extremely dry and the cabbage was blah. I also had a side of candied yams and vegetable medley. The yams were good and the vegetable medley were noticeably from a frozen bag. Not to mention as we were walking out A ROACH WAS CRAWLING ON THE TABLE!!!!!! I know I’m asking myself why did I eat the food as well! We spent the whole time examining each bite and couldn’t even finish it. I honestly feel as if this place shouldn’t be in business. The food in the background is me ending up going to yummi express in roselawn to get more oxtails.

This is some real homemade Jamaican food like your Grandmother cooked it all day !! You definitely need to try this ! You will be hooked . I don’t understand the not so good reviews idk what that’s about but I’m glad my friend bought me this because I go off of reviews and wasn’t going to try but boy I’m so happy I did ! Everything was great but that jerk chicken is definitely the best ever so much seasoning it’s perfect,tender,&juicy ! Plantains amazing Mac n cheese and candied yams bomb!!! Curry chicken again tender,juicy,&flavorful ! Try it you will be a forever customer like I will be ! I can’t wait to try more ! Make sure you get extra sides like I did because it’s so good you will wish you did !!!!

Overall it was a very tasty experience. The pulled pork sandwich was great, the jerk chicken excellent. All the sides that I sampled were amazing except for one. The amazing ones were the red beans and rice, cornbread, french fries (crispy outside, mashed potato like inside), fried plantains, and sweet potatoes. The macaroni and cheese was pretty good, had an amazing seasoning to it, but was overly salty. That alone sadly overpowered the other flavors that were trying to come through.

I was the only person in the store and i waited about 15mins.The location is dated, service was bitter sweet. I originally ordered the curried goat with rice and peas and macNcheese. Upon looking over the menu again I saw potato salad N called for the receptionist and specifically asked if the potato salad was made from scratch or store bought, she said from scratch. Upon receiving the food I could feel the heat on the bottom of the box and could tell it was heated in the microwave. When I opened the box I could see the microwave burn on the meet, the meat was so salty and then imagine that with macNcheese. The rice was too soft and the color seem off like they added browning. The potato salad was infact store bought whi h I don’t fancy but t was the best part of the meal. It was for an additional $3. It was soo salty.

I visited their booth at Cincy Soul Festival this weekend and the young lady that took my order on Sunday (Today) had an attitude when I asked her a question and just didn’t seem appreciative of my purchase. My chicken wasn’t even hot and cabbage/rice were very bland tasting.

The greens were a little salty but overall they were pretty delicious. They had a little spice to it which I liked. This was my first time eating oxtail so I can’t compare it with others. It tasted like beef stew but extra fatty. I enjoyed the gravy on the oxtail. Until I taste oxtail from another restaurant I can only give the food 3 stars… the service was good as well. I would go back and try something else again.
