I absolutely loved this place – very friendly and welcoming. We tried a pupusa, tamale and baked good. All that came up to $6! So I had to leave a generous tip. Please check this place out, they deserve all the love.

Everything is authentic and made to order. Everyone’s order didn’t come out at once because each item was made fresh, so it came out piping hot and delicious! Things you might not be familiar with like fried yucca and pork chunks instead of french fries! Many different fruit beverages instead of familiar sodas and mildly- sweet pastries available in the Bakery. Definitely a fun place to check out of you want to try something different!

El Salvadorian restaurant, bakery, and grocery. Pupusas, fried yucca, and chicharron! Fast and delicious! Fresh bakery and grocery items you can’t find other places.

This is worth the trip from Des Moines. Hands down the best hispanic food in Iowa. Don’t forget to add an order (or 8) of the pupusas when you go!

We stopped in because our first choice was closed- our lucky day!! I had never seen Yucca on a menu before so had to try it. This was air fried Yucca roots with bits of pork and it was incredible!!! We also had steak tacos and a papusa which did not disappoint!! So happy that we stopped in for a late lunch! Be sure to try some bakery items also! Yummm!

The pupusas here are so delicious! I always bring in friends from foreign countries or from out of state/town to try the pupusas and bread here. They never disappoint! If you’re in the area, try them out! My favorite is the pork!

Loved the food and the service at this restaurant! Salvadoran pupusas are amazing , and they make lots of different kinds, even some not listed on the menu – be sure to ask about all the kinds they make. I had fresh fish, which was great, and the corn tortillas are homemade! They also have a bakery with items hot and fresh out of the oven! Wish we lived closer – don’t miss it if you’re in Perry!

Went here for papusas after a 50 mile bike ride on the rrvt. We weren’t really sure how to order or what to order and just asked for papusas and rice when we were greeted at the door. She returned a few minutes later with freshly made bean, cheese, and pork papusas that were so delicious it is now my favorite restaurant in perry. If you are biking the rrvt or staying at the hotel pattee make sure you put this on your to do list. It is a wonderful little gem! They also have a pastry case and we picked out a couple and they were fantastic too! One looked like a little turtle! Oh and the rice… mmmmm! 🙂
