The queso was good. I didn’t care for the salsa, rice or beans. The steak in the enchiladas was delicious. They put plenty of meat in everything. Service was eh. Waited forever to tell her what we wanted to order, my husband sat without a drink for quite a while and I had to get up and ask for a to go box. Expensive for Mexican food.

The place was buzzing with people for Cinco de Mayo, but there were some complications. The service was very slow and one person in my group got their food before the others did. There was also a misconception between the older two adults in my group about the 2 for 1 deal with the margaritas, but regardless, there were no frozen margaritas and the wait for them to get their drinks was at least half an hour to get their drinks along with the wait of at least an hour for our food. A person even fell out of their chair and when I tried to ask if they were ok, they all laughed at me. However, the staff and manager seemed friendly to me but I’m not sure what the others in my group think. Most likely will not go back to this restaurant for Cinco de Mayo.

Love the feel of the place. Several businesses have failed here but confident La Rumba is here to stay. Great queso. Great chimichangas. Good portions. Beer served in ice cold mugs. Prices ever so slightly steep but will not keep me away. This is my new go-to for Mexican.

After being seated my girlfriend and I waited 10 minutes before our server came to our table to ask us about our drinks. She seemed as if she didn’t know anything about us so probably a communication error. I don’t blame the server for the incredibly slow service, I blame management. They offer a full bar, yet no bartender. Our server was going across the restaurant to check on us when she got time. She was obviously stretched thin. Most of the other employees are either sitting or too busy talking to help with anything it seemed. My girlfriend got her food 15 minutes before I got mine and had already finished hers. I give it a 2 star only for the fact of the atmosphere. Seems like a great place to have drinks and food, if you can get either.
