I love the Jerk Chicken Rice and Peas and Macaroni at Tastee Spoon. The chicken is tender and spicy, the rice is fluffy and flavorful, and the macaroni is nice and cheesy. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. My only complaint is that the recipe seems to vary from time to time, so I never know what to expect, sometimes the macaroni is too dry. I wish they would stick to one consistent recipe, because when they get it right, it’s delicious. Nonetheless, I always enjoy my meal at Tastee Spoon and I recommend it to anyone who likes Caribbean cuisine.

Tastee Spoon was absolutely amazing. The restaurant and atmosphere was very relaxing. When you first walk in, the smell of the food makes you want the food now. I ordered the “Couple Up” combo and it had a great portion in there. It was enough for two people and the price was shocking. Well worth it in my opinion. Service was 4 stars because as a first time customer, I didn’t feel that help when it came to my questions. Nothing too bad or disrespectful, in would have liked some more clarity without feeling like I’m clueless. As for the food, the mac & cheese, plantains, and rice was really good. The traditional jerk chicken was so tasty and very meaty on the bone. I can’t wait to come back and try there other meals. Best Jamaican food I have had on this side of town.

As a Jamaican it is hard to eat Caribbean food outside of my own pot or family homes. Most of the time the food is not authentic HOWEVER TASTEE SPOON is very authentic to Jamaican style dishes flavor spices and atmosphere. 10/10 on all the food. The fact everything was good portion sizes nothing had to be sent back. The staff was so good the music the live dj. The restrooms clean a lot free parking spaces. Nothing bad can be said. They have the little robot server which was pretty cool. All of the food was excellent. It’s right by perimeter mall in the Walmart plaza. I hope they don’t change the dishes and prices because it’s really worth the money.

Tastee Spoon is by far my favorite local restaurant in the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs Area! Any time I have friends in town this is always our first stop. The food is always ON POINT, service is great, drinks are strong, and the overall atmosphere is comfy, yet sleek. EVERYTHING tastes good!

Made an order through grubhub for pickup. My food was suppose to be ready in 20 mins and I ended up waiting an hour. I asked for no onions in my pasta and it still came with onions. It was huge chunks so it was easy to pick out so I didn’t take it back. During the wait, I was looking at the menu prices and realized grubhub charged me $5 more for the salmon pasta and $1 more for patties. The pasta isn’t worth $25, so I don’t see why they would support this for pick up orders especially when you can’t order through their site and you can barely hear them over the phone. The really underwhelming part was I asked if the desserts were baked fresh and the lady said yes… this cake is old and tastes like medicine. If it was fresh, the baker should never bake again. The cake was disgusting and overcooked or stale. The should put dates are them or be honest about them being cooked the same day. Lastly, I ordered a drink that they were out of. I was sick so I wanted the ginger drink. I don’t drink soda and after an hour I was ready to go so I asked for a refund. The lady tells me they can’t refund grubhub orders. The fact that I had to state multiple times that I wanted a refund was wild to me.

I could have went to flavorless Olive Garden for all this. I got the JERK shrimp/salmon pasta. Both the shrimp and salmon were over cooked and unseasoned. Both meats tasted like they had no salt or pepper. And when I ordered jerk shrimp and salmon I assumed jerk sauce would be over the whole dish, no. The sauce on the meats was white and some of the pasta literally had no sauce on it. I had to get a side of jerk sauce just to poor over the dish in a separate bowl.

I went here for lunch as my bf kept raving about their food. It is a small Jamaican themed restaurant with a nice little vibe. Now on to what really matters, the FOOD! When I say the jerk chicken was delicious and juicy! I have not came across any jerk chicken that can even compare. To go along with the chicken I had Mac and cheese and callaloo both were very TASTEE as well & a strawberry margarita which was nice and strong. Overall I give this place a 5 star rating! I can’t wait to eat there again that is just how good this place is.

I had a decent experience at Tastee Spoon. The Oxtail, Mac n Cheese, and Rice and Peas were a hit. However, the Salmon and Shrimp Pasta fell flat. It lacked seasoning. It was stuffed in the to go container with lots of noodles and not enough sauce.

I’ve frequented this spot several times but they need to work on their consistency. Some times I come and the beef patties barely have any meet inside. Today the rice is hard as well as the cabbage. This meal was also supposed to come with plantains and they were not included at all. My friend also stated her grits were watery.
