Let me start by saying that this is the first time I have ever rated a restaurant 1 star. I was so disappointed. I was tempted to rate it a 2 but I have to be honest.

This was my first time trying Tuscani Italian Grill. Even though I ordered takeout, I still thought the entree was delicious. I ordered the Penne Vodka Sauce. One thing I wasn’t aware of was that when I ordered online, I chose the curbside option as my preferred method to pick up. I got a text message with a confirmation of the order, but I didn’t receive a text letting me know when it was ready, so I ended up waiting longer than I should have in the parking lot. That was my only gripe about my experience. Other than that, I definitely would go back. Still worth the five stars in my opinion.

The food was bland, the pasta over cooked and swollen, the sauce flavorless, the garlic, wine, and herbs mentioned non existent. The shrimp was covered in mush and tasted extremely fishy, the tomatoes in the dish were large cubes of flavorless and watery beefsteak tomatoes. Of what we ordered the spaghetti pomodoro with added shrimp, the shrimp scampi (Romana), and the spaghetti in the eggplant Parmesan are as described above. The salads came without the dressing, the side order of garlic bread tasted like it was frozen for five years and then thrown in a toaster. The cake slices were ridiculously slim and short unlike anything I have ever received at any self respecting place. The only thing that tasted semi-ok was the eggplant parmigiana sans pasta with a dash of salt desperately needed. I highly recommend you steer clear if you want authentic Italian, or anything even remotely edible or worth the price. The sauce literally tastes like they boiled tomato paste in water without even adding salt. There was no garlic, basil, or olive oil to speak of, let alone wine. I normally don’t enjoy leaving a bad review for any business, but this was so awful with so many reviews on DoorDash that I needed to rectify that travesty. You can’t trust reviews when the people leaving them have no taste or standards. Purchase and eat at your own risk!

My family of three were the only ones in the restaurant for the first 30 minutes we were there. The parmasean container they handed us had mold in it.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in a shopping mall. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, prompt service, and cozy atmosphere. Our waiter had a wonderful sense of humor and kept us entertained. I would definitely recommend visiting them.

Won’t see us again, that had to be the worst Italian food I have ever had. We should have known something was wrong when it was dinner time on a weekend and we are the only customers the whole time. The service was good but the food was just cheap looking and tasting. I’m sorry but how do you call yourself a Italian restaurant serving people this food. Two stars for the waitress and that’s it. Yikes

If I could give 0 stars I would. We went here today and the food and service weren’t good. She forgot our bread after she asked if we wanted some. The forks they provided were dirty and we had to ask for plastic utensils. We asked if we could substitute the food we didn’t deem acceptable and the waitress said “No, that’s how it’s supposed to taste like” No pasta should be bland, cold, chewy, nor hard. Also the mozzarella frita was over priced and not great. We paid $10 for 5 mozzarella sticks not mozzarella frita. Do not come here if you’re seeking authentic Italian food.

The staff needs more training on the dishes. I asked if the meat on one particular was breaded because the menu description mentioned “lightly breaded” on another dish and this dish did not. I wanted to be sure I didn’t have breaded meat. The server did not understand my questions at all. I kept repeating and trying to ask in different ways and finally she told me the meat on this dish was not breaded. I had reservations but went against my better judgement and believed her. When it arrived it was heavily breaded. I also asked for no noodles. I was fine not having any noodles and nothing as a sub but she asked what else I wanted instead of noodles and I said I would be ok with a side salad or veggies, but didn’t need anything. The dish came out with broccoli and some potatoes. When the check came there was an additional charge added for vegetables, she did not mention that at the time that I ordered.
