I ordered off of the beef menu. 11.5, it said it was new on the menu and it was my first time. This was the BEST taco, I have ever had. I’m PR and have tasted plenty but I’ve never had a taco this good. It is a little on the high side, but this is Nashville and you get what you pay for. Everyone was nice. 10/10 would recommend.

What a great spot! Staff is super friendly. The chicken and waffle taco and barbacoa style brisket taco were excellent and packed with flavor. Brisket nachos were really tasty too. Need one of these to open in New Orleans!

Velvet Taco was an outstanding stop for a “non traditional” taco shop. We tried five different tacos and each was pretty damn good, our 14 month old daughter was a huge fan of the cheese Quesadilla as well!

We waited an hour and 15 minutes for okayish food, not worth the hype or the wait! We came here at 7:30 on a Sunday night and did not get our food until after 8:45. Some in our party didn’t get food until 9! And sadly the restaurant wasn’t even that busy to where that long of a wait would have been excusable. Employees were slow and worked with zero urgency, none apologized for the ridiculous wait. Ambiance was cool if you’re into that but the food wasn’t worth it.

Together we tried 4 tacos. Probably the most memorable were the chicken and waffle and the grilled salmon tacos. We also tried the elote guacamole and tried some of our friend’s jalapeño popper guacamole. Personal preference but I think with the guac toppings less might be more so I’d be inclined to just get the classic next time.
