Excellent. Hidden Dragon Roll is amazingly delicious. Gyoza is the best I’ve had anywhere from NY to SF. Shrimp Crunch Roll is just melt in your mouth superb. Owner is personable and kind. Will be back often. Give it a try and you will be satisfied.

Some of the best sushi I’ve had in Houston. And the owner/chef was so funny and nice. We are definitely coming back next time we are in town. The spicy garlic edamame and the gyoza were amazing! The shrimp fried rice and all the rolls we got were good too. Thank you!

Second time here. Everything was delicious again. The owner/chef is very friendly, he works hard and moves quickly and always has a smile on his face. It was busy with lots of carry out orders, he checked in with everyone waiting and confirmed the names and what was in each order. He does everything. Serves, cooks, answers phone for orders, so please be patient with him. Everything is made fresh to order, not just pre made stuff scooped out of a tub. Lots of flavor and generous portions. 100/100 all the good things!! I will be back!

This is a small quaint place that serves delicious food. The owner is the chef so you’ll have to be patient because he’s the only one there. He pays 100% attention to detail for each order and makes it to perfection. He is very nice and friendly and makes sure his customers are satisfied. We ordered a fried California sushi roll and it was amazing. We also had the hibachi combination with shrimp and scallops. The chef recommended the fried rice and it did not disappoint. Great place. We will be returning.

I am sad to report that I unfortunately got food poisoning from one of the four rolls I ate last week. It was my first time at the establishment and I went based on reviews. I was the first customer upon opening and everything stated about the owners hospitality and friendliness was absolutely accurate. The restaurant had an odor though that I recognize as cockroach nest odor. I didn’t see any in the dining area but the smell was pungent. We ordered four or 5 rolls and none had raw fish. One fried roll with cream cheese and crab tasted “off” but I attributed it to just being the flavor. I continued to eat it and I have been diagnosed with food poisoning. I truly hope that this was a freaky abnormal occurrence and I wish him success in his business. I did feel the need to post this to make people aware that if something tastes off, it’s better to not eat it. Sounds like common sense but since it wasn’t a completely rotten taste, it seemed possible that this was just the flavor of that roll.

If you want authentic sushi, give this place a try. The owner/chef/waiter is really really nice. Some complain that he takes forever, yes because he does everything by himself, but trust me, it’s worth the wait. My husband tried out many sushi restaurants and this one hands down the most original one. We called ahead so won’t have to be hungry waiting.

I am giving five stars because both the food and the customer service was awesome! My husband and I went there this evening and picked up hibachi steak and hibachi shrimp dinners. My husband’s steak was cooked just the way he wanted it and my shrimp was lightly roasted to deliciousness. Both meals came with fresh vegetables with a lemon wedge and scratch made dipping sauces. The beef broth soup that accompanied the meals was incredible. Rice was steamed to perfection; the fried rice was “slightly” dry but the flavor made up for it. The customer service was very personable. Will definitely add this hot spot for our eating out choices. Oh not to mention, the location is very convenient. Check this place out, you will enjoy the overall experience.

My experience at Tokyo Hibachi & Sushi House was a bit underwhelming. I tried the tuna sushi, and unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. The flavor and quality of the tuna left much to be desired. While the ambiance was pleasant, the disappointment with the sushi impacted my overall enjoyment. It’s possible that other items on the menu might be better, but based on my experience with the tuna sushi, I would rate it a three-star establishment
