Small town feel with big town flavor. It’s the place every coastal town hopes to have. The fish? Amazing! The fries? It was the best i ever had with fish and chips. Most times, the fries are an afterthought almost. Crab cakes are a must have addon item.

We wanted to be overwhelmed with how good the fish and chips were. They were good. Hot, fresh, a little heavy on the batter, a little light on the seasoning, but good.

Wonderful casual local place! Helen was so friendly and attentive even though she was working all by herself when we went. Last time I had fish & chips I thought I’d decided I don’t like it. This place showed me it can be good when it’s done right. The cod batter was delicious and the texture and flavor of the fish was perfect. Clam chowder was peppery and flavorful. Others with me also liked the burger, fish sandwich, and crab cake. This is a place where people are working hard with good product and making delicious food. I wish them all the success!

Food was to die for and the prices were even better! A cute little spot by the water. When we went it was cash only so something to keep in mind when going! Their milkshakes are too notch too.

We stumbled upon Sea J’s and were so happy we found it. They have a surprisingly varied menu (was expecting mostly seafood) with burgers and sandwiches, soups, salads, and tacos in addition to fried seafood. We didn’t see anyone order anything other than seafood. We ordered a seafood platter (2 pieces cod, 2 oysters, 2 shrimp, clam strips, all fried, with fries and slaw) and 2 pieces fried cod. Both came with homemade tartar sauce and toasted garlic bread. The seafood platter also came with cocktail sauce. Everything was so delicious – perfectly crispy, super fresh seafood, amazing sauces. There was just 1 person working (on a Wednesday in May at lunch time), so it took a bit to get our food, but it was well worth the wait. The patio seating is lovely, especially when it’s sunny.

Fish and chips were great. The tartar sauce was different but really tasty not sure how to describe it. Definitely more expensive than $. Kids meals are reasonably priced and generous. Every plate was generous, will go back again at some point.
