I absolutely loved this place, visited during a busy time during Thomas the train day and it was absolutely lovely to be there. The servers definitely were amazing during it, they got this. Great job ladies!! My friend and I had gotten BLT’s and the hot ham and cheese with fries and a house salad. Everything was fresh, delicious and big portions. If I’m ever in the area I’d def. go back. Parking lot was somewhat limited on a busy day but the servers said it’s usually not that busy!! I’m also not from around there either, from Michigan, so as an outsider they made me feel really welcomed! My best regards Lindsey

Drove by the place as it looked inside an old motel, but don’t let that fool you. Got there just after 1130 ( breakfast ended at 1130) so we got lunch. The chicken strip and fries were hot and good, and they gave you a healthy portion. My husband had a mushroom burger that he enjoyed. Downsides were it wasn’t air conditioned ( went July 5th — it was hot) and unsure if allowed smoking inside as it had a low odor. Good food off the beaten track.

Burger was simple but good and all menu items were very affordable. Customer service is lacking big time. Ladies always seem mad your there and in the verge of being rude either during call in orders or when picking up.

What a value! Chicken strips were tasty and the special was amazing. These prices are from 15 years ago. Go there before they realize it….lol…

No-frills, bare-boned, old style restaurant. The furniture isn’t fancy. There is no ambiance. Just plain and honest. Like the food.

Stopped in for lunch and had an incredible burger. Simple, good, old fashioned burger with seasoned fries and sweet tea.

Great low-key local spot with made to order food at very reasonable prices. Yummy fried green tomatoes and giant brownies. Very friendly service even to us out-of-town tourists finishing up the Bourbon Trail.

I have then coming to Howie’s or some restaurant of Lill’s since I was a little girl, she never ceases to amaze me on how good her food actually is and the atmosphere is always fun to be in you always run into somebody but you know Small Town restaurant at its best!

Place was packed for lunch and it took a bit to get our food, but I don’t really fault them for that. They were just swamped. The hamburgers we got were obviously hand pattied and tasted excellent. If you go here to eat before the train ride it might be a good idea to go over and buy your tickets first and make sure you have enough time.
