The service is usually okay but yesterday it was awful, the waitress was ignoring us when the restaurant was almost empty, it took her 6 minutes to grab a fork and napkins, and to take our order maybe 30 minutes. But when it was time to get the check she was fast. The food was good tho.

I tried Rock N Roll Sushi on a Saturday in the early evening hours. The restaurant was not busy. There were maybe two to three tables of people dining in. I was there to place a carry out order. I was greeted promptly upon entering. The staff I encountered were friendly. I placed my order and when given the total I thought it sounded a bit higher than it should be but I figured I may have remembered the individual prices incorrectly. The order was prepared in a timely fashion. Upon arriving home I reviewed the receipt to find that I was assessed a 10% service charge for taking my food to go. I find it to be unacceptable to penalize patrons who have decided to eat their meals elsewhere. More, it is shameful not to make patrons aware of this service charge thereby giving us the opportunity to make a fully informed choice to make a to go order. I ordered the crispy wontons, the Thriller roll, and the Reggae roll. The food was mediocre at best. The crispy wontons were not eatable. They were not crispy. They were under cooked. The Thriller roll was prepared properly and looked great but did not taste fresh. The Reggae roll was not prepared properly. It fell apart before I was able to eat it. Overall, the staff made the best impression and I might have been willing to give the food another try but being penalized for taking my food to go will most assuredly mean I will not be returning.

It took a while to receive our hot dishes, so I was done with my sushi well before everyone else received their meals. It was all tasty. Our server Trey was awesome, just excellent. If it wasn’t for him, I would have just left.

I’ve never rated a restaurant one star. The food my friends and I received was 3 stars, and our service we received- one star. Before I elaborate, I want to mention that we and a table of 2 people were the only ones in the entire restaurant. I had to ask for a refill twice before it was refilled, same thing for yum yum sauce. I ordered sushi and hibachi, and i got my hibachi after everyone had already eaten (waitress forgot?) . We sat at our table with empty drinks and a PILE of dirty dishes the whole time. She ignored the dishes everytime she came to the table. Playing with a rubix cube while you have a table of 4 that needs to be waited on is crazy. Pre-busting your tables and keeping drinks filled is a must when waitressing. Our waitress had a pink stripe in her hair if that helps. Hope you can fix these issues before others have this experience as well.

after asking our waitress, who was standing at the bar watching tv, about our salad we never got, she brought it out and claimed our food “just finished”, and she then brought out 2 plates of cold food. after all the mid hibachi was eaten, i still hadn’t received my one sushi roll. waited about 15 more minutes for the worst sushi i’ve ever had. the only flavor it had was the overpowering disgusting tempura oil that hadn’t been changed since the pandemic.

Ordered takeout on a Sunday- and was very late. But the food obviously had been sitting for 30 minutes. Rice was hard and crusty. Fish smelled bad. This place used to be the best in town. Now it is terrible.

Horrible management and staff. Went in to eat dinner with my 4 and 3 year old and were ignored by all staff. As soon as a group of white female students the were greeted and offered the table I was waiting to be cleaned. Assistant manager basically told the manager in my face he would have to wait until he is done before he could take my to go order so I left. If you are African American and have small children please don’t waste you time here.

This was an all-around fun and delicious spot. All of the food and drinks were really good. I had the VIP roll, and it was a meal all by itself. I was expecting just a roll, but it was much more. The atmosphere was pleasant and fun. The service was quick, welcoming, and friendly.
