Totally forgot to leave a review last time I went here, but it’s definitely the best mexican food you can get in town for sure. tacos are so bomb, everything is amazingly seasoned, stuff’s always done timely and is exceptionally well crafted. with vegan, vegetarian, steak (hella good), pork, and chicken options, idk what else you could ask for (except maybe a bag of chips and a side of guacamole). Also they have burritos made entirely to what you request.

So, I recently visited Spitfire Tacos in Salem again, and let me tell you, this place never fails to impress me! I used to go there pretty often, and even after a few months, the quality and taste remain as incredible as always.

Visited Salem in August 2023, and around the corner from where we were staying we found Spitfire Tacos. We went there for dinner and really enjoyed their food. We enjoyed it so much, that on a different night we decided to go back and order from them again. Highly recommended.

Just another overhyped hipster taco shop. Tacos are very small (street taco size) for $5-6 each…. Which is about $1.50 per bite. They placed different tacos into the same carton without wrapping them, so all the flavors ran into each other (rookie mistake, but I think this is normal for them). Staff acted bothered we were there… No air conditioning inside so you sweat balls while waiting for your mediocre bite size tacos. Hipsters who think it’s amazing that someone put crispy chilies onto a taco will be impressed by this place…. Real foodies won’t be. SKIP IT

This place was dirty. The water provided tasted of garlic. The food was ok but I did feel a bit worried eating it due to the grime around the water dispenser, the counter and the bathroom. Because of the decor It felt like eating tacos in a frat house. The food tasted fine but I don’t think I’d risk eating there again.

Spent a little time in Salem for spooky season got us a little famished. We wanted something different and familiar, if that can be said of something. Popped onto my radar was Spitfire Tacos. They are fat, full, and delicious; packed with flavor. I like how creative the tacos are. I mean… bacon jam on a fish taco. *mind blown* I would definitely eat here again should I come back to visit Salem.

First time in Salem and the reviews of Spitfire Tacos on Google draw us there. Granted, as others have said the tacos are $6-$7 each and sounds expensive, but they’re worth it for two reasons. #1, they taste great, and #2, the filing is almost twice as much as tacos at other taquerias!

Spitfire is amazing! Their tacos are always delicious and they’re very adaptable for kid preferences and food allergies.
