Always really really good. Holy moly it’s super affordable as well. This is our 4th time and every time it’s been clean, the staff is super friendly and the food has been fantastic. First the salsa seems to be homemade with a good flavor not spicy but flavorful. The chips are nice and thin and always crispy not greasy or too salty. The enchiladas are the BEST in town. The fajitas are super good and don’t have the weird red seasoning that a few other local restaurants use. Hidden little gem in the shopping center. Would highly recommend. A great change to the usual Mexican restaurants on Frederica.

They overcharged me the last two times. I ordered the steak chimichanga. The menu said the chicken or steak was 8.99. The mixed was 9.99 i was charged the extra dollar but I didn’t mention it, thinking it was a mistake. Tonight they added a .99 charge. They have a sign saying there is a .99 charge for a credit card, but I was paying cash. When I pointed this out he said it was a to go charge that was not on the menu or on a sign. Too bad they have lost a customer over this as I like their food and service. I stopped going to a nearby Mexican restaurant Mi Ranchita over a similar undisclosed credit card charge. That food was inferior

This place is so amazing! My husband and I go here frequently because the service is amazing, food is top tier, and it is always very quick! Also don’t seem to get approached when I have a mouth full of food either so that’s a plus haha. 10/10 would recommend. Love this little hole in the wall spot and everyone who works there, all very friendly.

5 stars EVERY. TIME. My family loves coming here! My husband and I had a date here today and man this place is our happy food for real. The food is just soooo amazinggg, the atmosphere and the staff are sooo freakin lovely too! :-))))) if we’re going to Mexican cuisine, it’s gonna be El Molcajete hands down every time, we’ve never been disappointed. Today we came around 330pm and they weren’t busy at all, but even when they are busy the wait is never long, and ALWAYS worth it.

This is the worse Mexican restaurant in Owensboro. Service terrible. You bring it up and waiter catches an attitude. Food bad. Drink watered down. Don’t come here. Go to Ernestos. Much much better.
