This is a new addition to the Novato area and my family was excited to try it! My wife loves the SF one so I was looking forward to it. I really like the Emeryville style food court and was hoping this would hold a candle to it.

The Novato location was amazing! The customer service was top tier as the staff were welcoming, friendly, and super accommodating, as we had a big group dining in. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we got our food quick as well as making sure we had enough seating outside! The location itself is nice, especially the outdoor seating area, the ambience felt very warm and comfy thanks to the lighting, seating/table, and music. Additionally, we loved how there were various food establishment options all in one. I would visit again if I’m ever in the area!

The food was surprisingly good, for such a “dine and dash” vibe and they even had somebody who would answer questions directly. I will say it was a bit overwhelming though, and I sort of wished there was a carb count(but that’s my own personal wish, no criticism.) I do also think, for specifically the Novato location, that the dining area could be improved upon. I feel that people may be more open to staying and eating of there were more tables available (even if they are outside.)

Really nice people working here, that’s not the problem. The food was bad: wilted greens and barely any of the main ingredient (chicken) in the rice bowl that looked beautiful in the photo and no resemblance to what ended up half unfinished in the compost. Expensive. Disappointing. Also, freezing cold. Somehow it was colder inside this place than outside on a windy night (thus getting the food to go). I would be happy to get this food in an airport, but I want better from a place with the word local in the name—I wanted fresh ingredients and a warm atmosphere. My expectations where high because of the good reviews. Maybe it was unlucky Monday night timing?
