My boss wanted to treat my management team and I to a farewell dinner before I changed locations. One of the managers suggested D’Amelio‘s. I heard a lot of great things about them from people that live in Waterbury. The parking lot was a little difficult to navigate. It doesn’t have a great design. There was much easier street parking available. The inside is very clean with some nice decor. There is a bar area if you’re looking to unwind after a long day. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful.

There were 9 people in our party. The calamari family style appetizer was good. Moving onto salads and entrées— dinner salads are nothing to write home about very skimpy. I ordered the Caesar salad at a $4 up charge which was drenched in dressing.

We chose this restaurant because it is conveniently situated at the midway point between NY and the part of Connecticut we live. And oh boy were we pleased

Gianna was just wonderful. I cannot say enough about her. While the food was great she made our night. Place was crowded but had a 6 PM reservation. We were only 3, service was excellent and I would surely come back again.

A staple of Waterbury for years, Damelios has the best Italian food around! Joey, Gianni, Bobby G, and the staff provide an excellent dining atmosphere and exemplary service.

Right around the corner from our home. We are frequent and we usually get 2 appetizers each and 3-4 martinis each. We have done dinners in the dining room and happy with the shift change of one bartender she has become complacent and her attitude is a want to avoid. If the fireworks are on a night they are open the 2 outdoor patio tables front Right corner provides excellent view

I grew up in this neighborhood and remember when it was simply a deli. Everything is fresh and served hot. We had a group of six and ate in the newer dinning room downstairs. A little noisy but fine. Ask for the family sized portion to pass around the table! The Italian desserts are awesome.

Fun evening this June weekend in a private room for a NIABA/CIABA event. Before joining the party we chatted with Joey D’Amelio who was outside happily opening fresh oysters and clams for the raw bar. We then stopped at the bar for a couple of cocktails before heading downstairs for dinner.

I had a rocking beet salad and a small side of pasta with broccoli. Sooooo delicious. And, it came out fast. (I was eating around 3 pm on a weekday, so it was extra fast.)

Here in CT for work, decided on this place for an after work dinner. Host was great Julianna! However, the food was lack luster, food was bland, pasta wasn’t salted and Alfredo sauce was very loose. 8 bucks for what tasted like bottled lemonade without a hint of lavender as the mocktail suggested. Overall great ambience and wonderful customer service.
