Dumpling says he is only giving a four star because of the Chihuahua fajitas, which are like regular fajitas but with cheese dip and bacon. Yumz! We swap the shrimp for extra steak. These are our fav shareable here. Burrito really likes the fajitas and also the plantains appetizer, which is a really huge portion. The negatives are the little bitty salsa servings, which are dolled out to you with the bowl not even half filled. While they always bring you more – your Burrito finds it slightly irritating. They also give you free white sauce. This Mexican restaurant also has much better and thicker queso or cheese dip than the other one of Cedar Road, La Parrilla, where the cheese dip is all runny like they water it down. See our review on them for more info. The servers at Plaza are also better and way more attentive to the tables. They have an excellent Paloma and also a karaoke night.

I dined in the night before Cinco de Mayo 2023 and ordered the Pescado Azteca. It’s shrimp and a white fish filet… the spinach and red bell pepper were cooked perfectly. Great manager named Johnny and my server was so nice… her name is Breyling. Betsy was awesome as well. They‘re giving very nice t-shirts for the celebration. Huge amount of selections and the lady across from me loved her (Mojarro Frita) whole fish as well. The entire staff was friendly and had working. I look forward to coming back soon and I highly recommend this location near the Food Lion on Cedar Road. They aim to please.

Food was fast, presented well, and flavorful. Server kept drinks, chips, salsa flowing and full. Wait staff was super nice and helpful. My only complaint is that the drink prices were not listed in the menus and they were waaaaay overpriced. For example, $18.99 for a Texas margarita was way too overpriced.

I felt like I walked in a fiesta. The place was lively with exciting people celebrating birthdays, friends, and family. Friendly servers. Food were good, but It’s a bit bland especially the table-side guacamole and the fajitas. Good thing it came with tasty sides. The best thing was the beer; it’s refreshingly cold. We enjoyed our dinner, so we are going back for more.

Terrible experience at this location. Waited forever to get a server to take our drink order and an extremely long time to even get chips and salsa. My entree was prepared improperly and covered with items I specifically asked NOT to be included due to a real food allergy. To top off my unfortunate experience, I was then violently ill from the time I got home and for the following 24 hours. Food poisoning was suggested by medical professionals. I will not be returning to this location and possibly not to any Plaza Azteca. Awful!
