Charly’s Taqueria, or as commonly referred to by locals as Charly’s, was opened as a fast-casual Mexican restaurant in Springdale, Arkansas in 2008 by Jose-Carlos & Zoila Castillo. Carlos translates to “Charly” from its root in Old German, meaning free man. Coincidently the duo are known for their free spirits, grand theatrics, and colorful personalities, it was chosen not only because they loved the meaning, but because the theme fit perfectly with their vibrant and exciting menu ideas. Hence the motto No Borders, Just Flavor. His vision is kept alive by his wife and two sons, who continue to push the boundaries of fast casual Mexican food Siempre con sabor o’ si no pa que. Do it with flair, or why even try, is the families motto.

I used to love their $1 Taco Tuesday with 5 choices and no strings attached. Sadly, they now offer only 3 options and require a drink purchase for the deal. Still, the tacos are delicious and worth a visit!

The service was great she was patient and helped us to make our orders. The aguas frescas were so delicious that even the agua de pepino was a surprise going beyond with the tajin on the cup. They also have sodas and kids juices. The food was great I just believe the meats tasted either the same or cooked in the same place or needed to be switched to make the other food taste even better. For example the Al pastor tasted exactly the same as the chorizo. The grilled chicken on my sope should of been on the enchiladas instead and that tinga chicken should be on the sopes. Everything else was good it was tasty. They have 4 servings on different kind of salas on your like. They are in constant contact if your need anything else. You order before you get seated. We got desert And the guava cheesecake to die for!! It was freaking delicious and soooo good we wanted more we think about even as passing by that’s how good it is.

This place is a hole in the wall—the best kind. Not a lot of people know about it, so there’s always a place to sit! The food is delicious, definitely made with love, which is what I search for. Us girls at the office have claimed they have to have crack in their meat, because the food is so addicting you just want more! Not literally, obviously. But it is so delicious, & not greasy. Very tasty, all sauces & side items are fresh, the food is made very quickly, and they are very friendly! I love this place, and so glad to have discovered it! I will recommend this to anyone. If you love Mexican food, try this place. You might never go to La Huerta again! I will add more photos the next time I go…too delicious to even think of my phone!

We tried this place for the first time today. My husband and I ordered a fajita to share. We were never brought spoons or forks to dish the toppings with and never brought plates to eat on or use to put our tortillas together. We also had to ask for napkins and hot sauce and never got either of those. So food was good but service wasn’t enough to bring us back.

Came here a couple a months ago, the food here is fantastic and so is the service you receive!!! You could tell that they were super busy with to-go orders and with the phone ringing NONSTOP, she was still super polite and carried on a conversation with me while I waited to check out. The waiter asked if we needed anything and my mom said YES, the recipe for this rice! She actually took the time to tell my mom exactly how they make their rice. I don’t typically write reviews, however the service and food we received really was incredible. I am arriving to Fayetteville again today and will be back 🙂

The owner is the sweetest man you’ll ever meet. Customer service is always outstanding The atmosphere is wonderful. The food tho the food is the best I’ve had in nwa being from Cali food like this is hard to beat here in nwa. Charley’s has got it covered they have literally everything you could want. Food comes out quickly always fresh and very tasty. So if you’re in the area this is a must for you’re next meal!!!

Ordered through Uber eats. Cali burrito, carne asada fries, a melon agua fresca, and a sopapilla. Burrito and fries were good. I don’t know what the drink is I got but it was most definitely not a melon agua fresca. It tasted like sweet tea that had been sitting out for a few days and went rancid, honestly it tasted moldy. And never got my sopapilla. Paid over $30 for half my items to be missing or disgusting. Y’all can do better
