A nice quick staycation took us to this hotel in Vero Beach which a charming boutique hotel in the quaint little area that is Vero. The The Wave, provided a quality meal that would bring me back to the area for the chicken alone. Which just so happens to be Glorias’ favorite. Served as an homage to her grandmother, this dish did not disappoint! It’s prob 4.5 stars, not mind blowing but it’s not bad for the value overall

The wave kitchen and bar is a great experience if you are staying at Costa d Esta Hotel in Vero Beach Florida. The view of the ocean and bea h combined with the lively music sets a fun atmosphere to enjoy. Menu selection is great including drinks.

Wow was this delicious! The Lechon Asado was possibly the best pork I’ve ever had (no offense mom and wife). The wedge salad (variation with baby romaine heads) was amazing. Ceviche, plantain chips, all delicious…and I didn’t even mention the COCKTAILS yet!! So good.

We stayed at the Costa d’Este hotel for several days and ate several meals at The Wave restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice, especially the bar which has a nice indigo glow with TVs above it showing sea life, it almost looked like aquariums. The food was very good; we enjoyed paella, grilled octopus with chorizo, ceviche, and tuna tartare. Our waitresses and the bartender were excellent and very professional. My only complaint was the hostess, she almost ruined the experience. She was working every day of our stay (short, petite, bob hair cut, with glasses), and she is in the wrong line of work. She clearly hates people. She ignored us every time we went to the restaurant. We would say hello, thank you, etc. and she just didn’t say anything. Our first evening she was taking a phone order and had her back to the entrance. She knew we were there, but continued to pretend she didn’t notice us. We were there for fifteen minutes. All she had to do was turn around, smile, and gesture that it would be a minute. If you want your customers to enjoy what is otherwise a great restaurant you should fire her!

Beautiful view from our seat. Very loud in the dinning room. Food was amazing! Service was very good. We got plantain cups, pork rice beans and plantains, chopped salad and a side of sweet plantains.

This place is an average restaurant. I would have given it three stars if it weren’t for the five-star service we received here. The people are welcoming and well versed in top quality service. We came here for happy hour originally and it was okay. The place is very small and the bar area is smaller. The view is either that of a

Dining at Wave was great, but I wouldn’t recommend for larger parties. I went out with a party of 12 on a slow Sunday evening, friends and family I don’t get to see very often. Our experience was a little hindered due to the fact that upon calling to make our reservation we were not informed that the check could only be paid as one, split three ways evenly. We had a family of 7, a family of 3, and a family of 2, and we sat accordingly in those groups to make things simple- 3 checks. Our server did let us know once we were seated, but it was clear the check conversation wasn’t up for discussion. As a server myself, I respect rules and regulations restaurants have to abide by to run their business. However, considering how high a bill gets at a restaurant like Wave with 12 people, it was disappointing the restaurant didn’t tell us prior to sitting down nor try to make an exception about the check. We aren’t special by any means, that restaurant brings in money regardless. But, if I was a server and I was getting 20% auto gratuity from a table spending over $1200, I would definitely go the extra mile and just see what I could do. I’d definitely return to Wave for the food and drinks, just with a small party.

I have eaten here a number of times at this point. The first two or three times the food was decent, only decent. I always get the ribeye, which they charge $60 for. I would never eat there or pay that much, I only go when my family is in town and they insist on treating.
