I’ve been here many times and can’t believe this happened. I ordered Karaage Ramen to go. Half way through the meal, something sharp poked my tongue. It was a GD fingernail!? WTH Akira!? Disgusted, dissappointed and ticked off. Shame on you!!!

Everyone was nice and welcoming. The service was decent. The food was great, but I’ve had better. I think, me personally, I would like to try some other ramen places out before eating here again. Not that it’s not good, I just think there’s better! Their ramen itself though was amazing. I do wish the size of the pork in your bowl was a little smaller though (cut into fours,maybe).

First, everyone at this restaurant was so welcoming and thoughtful! They were really making sure we had the best experience possible. That being said, the veg ramen was only okay, and there weren’t a lot of veg options. It’s ramen though; this is very understandable. However there are several better places specifically for vegan options in this area. I’d go back though because of the way I was treated, and the atmosphere is very comforting and relaxing.

Akira is a nice little walk in Japanese restaurant on the avenue all of their food is at least decent their ramen and sushi is probably some of the best menu items the staff is very kind ,the prices are reasonable, and the candies at the front are very tasty.However, the only thing that is holding this restaurant back from 5 stars is that it does not really stand out from other restaurants.

I absolutely love the canton location. The white marsh location was terrible. We had 5 different servers. The appetizers were okay. The ramen was the horrible. There was about an inch of grease on top of the broth. We got two bowls and didn’t even take two bites. When I asked the server if there was anything we could do she just said no. They stand there and watch you eat the whole time. It was a very uncomfortable experience overall. Not to mention when we left they literally raced to the table for the tip.
