I really didn’t want to write this review, but had to be honest. I got 2 chicken bowls 1 curry and 1 jerk. The rice and peas were ok, the chicken was extremely dry and had no flavor. I did like the festival I had it was like cornbread. The lady taking my order didn’t know much when I asked about menu items. No big deal to me, but definitely needs to be tested on the menu before work since its not that extensive. Im sure it was an off day.

I was expecting Jamaican staff that knew how to cook.The female that took the order didn’t know anything about the food, clearly doesnt look Jamaican and the cook gave me small Oxtails that look like stew with the red beans and rice and there was no real flavor. You taste the sodium powder in the red beans and rice and it also was flavor less.I wanted to be able to eat the meat off the bone and the corn bread was trash. The jerk chicken tacos could have been better. I suggest yall get some real Jamaicans as a cook and waitress then your food will be better. The price was extremely high for mediocre food.

My brother and I are big foodies and always looking for new places to try. We found this place off of tik tok and decided to try. At this particular location, the Jerk Grill is shared with Mr. WingMan. The Jerk Grill staff was friendly but wasn’t all that great at explaining some of the items on the menu. The food wasn’t seasoned or all that great. It’s not a place I would recommend. The jerk fries that everyone posts about on tiktok weren’t as good as stated on the tiktok videos. The fries weren’t the right size, were soggy, and the meat on top was pretty dry. The best thing on the menu was the curry chicken jamaican patties, and even those could have been better, maybe if they were made fresh and piping hot when served. If you visit them, I would say to just stick with Mr. Wingman and order some wings with fries. It’s a safe bet but a good bet.

The storefront location at 1560 Barton Rd in Redlands has a different menu than the food truck. You choose the protein, entree type (taco, burrito, bowl, etc), and side. Still delicious, juicy, thick fresh cuts of meats. Generous portions are sold here! Please don’t miss out on the Jamaican festival and plantains dessert. Pleasantly happy to have this location in my neighborhood!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. However, the food just wasn’t what I expected it to be. The brown stew chicken was tender and so was the oxtail, the Jamaica flavors just weren’t there for me. Next time I’m in the area I will try this spot out again.
