am a customer of Nardelli’s, whether it’s an Oxford, Southbury, or Waterbury. Never had a bad experience with any one of these locations. But I just called the Waterbury location at 7:50 to order a grinder and I am literally 3.7 miles away and they basically told me no! To order it from the Southbury location, they were more concerned with leaving on time then taking my order. I have been in this type of business before and when a customer wants to purchase whatever it might be you take the order. I will never dark in this doorway ever again. It just goes to show you that the employees of the Waterberry Nardelli’s put themselves first before the customer. What a shame.

The food was just bad. I spent almost 40 dollars on 3 items. The chicken was microwaved, the “fried” Mozz was microwaved. I’m sorry, but how can you guys over charge people when all you do is throw the food in the microwave. It’s disgusting and greasy. They should seriously consider making fresh food because my food was terrible.

Unfortunately did not have a good experience at this Nardellis. I was charged almost 7 dollars for a grilled cheese for my daughter which in my opinion is beyond a ridiculous price. No one ever offered me the kids menue option which included way more items for a cheaper price or tried to give me a reasonable price. Also there were small flies on the window sill, no sanitizer in the container ,there were dirty tables which weren’t cleaned and the glass of where the food was in was fogged up and you couldn’t even see what was in there. Will not be returning.

I originally gave Nardelli’s a 5 star review, but after my last visit, I was left very disappointed at how skimpy, yet overpriced the food is. I used to work in a deli & never in my life have I seen a flat wrap. When I went to check out, I was like “Oh, no that’s not mine, I ordered a wrap.” They were like “yeah, this is your wrap.” I responded, “That’s flat, wraps are round, I’ve never seen a flat wrap before.” I paid $8 for a few pieces of meat & cheese, a snack wrap if you will. I would’ve been far better off buying my own deli meat & making it myself, or going to a local deli that isn’t a chain. Never again.

Stopped here for lunch on my way to visit a local customer. The food was great. I had the sausage and mushroom grinder and it was fantastic. Why there is a local Subway in town is beyond me. There is no comparison. I didn’t have a side, but looked like they would have been pretty good as well.

3 stars because after 3pm they never ever have hard rolls left over. Why now just make 10 more so your customers don’t have to settle for a half grinder? The food is always fresh and perfect though. But the hard roll thing has been a problem for over 10 years. Is it just this location?…….I changed it to 5 stars. But please look into the hard roll thing. Thank you very much for being a good place to get sandwiches.

I order lunch from here a lot since I work nearby and I have not been disappointed once. The food has always been great and fresh. They are not skimpy at all. I usually get a wrap- my favorite has become the Chicken Salad Wrap, which I would def recommend!! I have tried some of their other chicken wraps and they are always fresh and they are very generous with the meat portions- it’s not all lettuce, like some other places. ;- ) Def a great place to grab a tasty and filling lunch!

I just stopped here after going to the Y and swimming for quite a while. As I was getting closer I realized I hadn’t eaten all day and I could feel my blood sugar starting to tank so these guys were the closest stop. The food was great but the thing that has made me now a loyal customer was that they could tell I was not doing great, they had me sit down and gave me something to hold me over until my order was done. That simple gesture might have taken an extra 30 seconds of their time but it made all the difference in the world! Heads up to all business owners, that’s the kind of behavior that will keep you in business and successful! Go support this place!

Staff are so personable- I wasn’t sure how to order good proportions for my Sy and the lady was really helpful with that. The atmosphere is easy and calm- didn’t feel rushed to get out of there at all. Eggplant Parm was good/ satisfying but not as cooked as I’m used to getting there.

This is an awesome grinder restaurant on Watertown Ave. They have really great service, I needed to watch my friends boat so they let my friend order for me when I was out, I then walked in an purchased the sandwich. They were fast too. I loved the pork rib sandwich the BBQ sauce taste nice and sweet. I like the how they didn’t over do it on the lettuce, onion, and bacon. Everything was perfect.
