The other day my wife and I had lunch at Gabrielle Charleston in the Hotel Bennett. Everything was prepared and presented to perfection! The service was impeccable. What more can one say? The next time you are in downtown Charleston, you simply must put this place on your dining list.

The she crab soup and grits is the best in town. So delicious. Great service, sophisticated vibe. Highly recommend!

Excellent lunch spot inside the Bennet Hotel with both informal and formal seating as well as outdoor. Full bar with a nice cocktail variety and wine list. Great service and delicious items such as the crab soup, green fried tomato sandwich and fried chicken. Enjoyed every bite!

Celebrated our 34 wedding anniversary and was not disappointed! From hostess to wait staff we had a great experience. The filet was better than what we’ve had at Halls Chophouse and the oysters Rockefeller were delicious. Kudos to the staff and chefs!

Nice place, our server was absolutely amazing and attentive to our group. The food is just not what i expected. The crab cakes were fried so hard i had the hardest time cutting, the short ribs were over cooked and and the chicken was dry. Beautiful place, awesome staff, but the food was blahhh

A bit if an overlooked option for excellent service and romantic dinner in the heart of King Street. Have a glass of bubbles in the little cute bar off the lobby, a romantic dinner and tie it off with cocktails on the rooftop. A full evening without leaving the hotel. Too many locals pass this over for other places and are really missing out.

Visited this establishment with my Trident Tech classmates yesterday for a luncheon. The food, restaurant and hotel is beautiful. The staff are amazing and so friendly. We had the she crab soup, pesto cavatelli, and an almond sponge cake with fresh berries. The portions were wonderful and filling. The presentation of the food was spectacular. Everything we received was fresh. Would definitely be back for lunch service, but will be back sooner for afternoon tea at Camellias. Which is so uniquely decorated

The food and service were great! We had oysters on the half shell and roasted oysters for appetizers (which were both amazing) and my husband had the duck confit and I had the swordfish. My husband said his duck confit was one of the best ever and my swordfish was incredible. The service by Alex was wonderful!

Everyone enjoyed their meals, however I ordered the smoked brisket and it was really dry and really tough. It made me wonder exactly what they were thinking having it on the menu at all. Now granted this was a Monday night, and maybe not their “A” chef but it was rather surprising for a place with most entrees over 50 bucks a pop including this one. Brisket is not an easy thing to do well, and this was a combination of a poor piece of beef and very poor cooking technique and worst of all, a very bad choice to send it to the table In the desiccated condition it was in. We had PEI oysters that were fantastic. Everyone did enjoy their dishes and the haddock replacement I had was good. Not great. Salty broth with not a lot going on besides the salt. All in all, we had an enjoyable meal, but for the prices you can eat at a restaurant with a Michelin star in the DC area that will knock your socks off. Decent job. Not worth the prices. We’ve found it generally true that Charleston has a bit of an inflated view of its itself when it comes to the dining prices charged. Can’t recommend. Staff was friendly.
