I feel bad, because we’re in the middle of a pandemic, but this was the worst Mexican food we’ve had in Lafayette or anywhere else for the matter. We ordered 3 cheese enchiladas with red sauce and an order of chips and salsa. The chips, no lie, were Cool Ranch DORITOS, which was especially disappointing after seeing someone else’s pictures of homemade tortilla chips. The salsa was brown and very thick to the point where it didn’t look like salsa but like spaghetti sauce… and it was VERY cilantro heavy. The enchiladas were lukewarm and just a mass of cheese with a very sweet red sauce… like cinnamon sugar flavored… and a huuuge dollop of sour cream. The only redeeming thing was the rice and beans which were average.

Best tacos in Lafayette Indiana, hands down! The tacos are only $2 or $2.50 if you get surpeme (which I recommend)

This elusive little place serves excellent Mexican food. The 3 Quesadillas came with 3 types of meat, and the chicken in the Pollo Estilo Puebla was done perfectly. Portions are generous enough that you’ll probably have leftovers. They also have the BEST tortilla chips I’ve ever had – they are literally fried tortillas. They don’t have any lunch time specials, so expect to pay dinner prices all day. Atmosphere is plain, service was sort of slow at times, but you won’t be disappointed with the food.

There was an odd smell in the dining area. Not bad, just odd. The food was great. I had a Tortas de milanesa de pollo which was very good. My wife had a chorizo taco and chorizo quesadilla and the taco was awesome and the corn tortillas were amazing and they made a custom bean and cheese burrito for my son because he is a picky eater. Fyi-they did not seem to have air conditioning in the building.

Bad service. I have never been to a Mexican restaurant that takes this long. The guy tried to charge me 5.99 more on the bill and he thought I wouldn’t notice. The meat are so dried not juicy at all. Plus there’s no chips for appetizers which I doubt that if it is really a Mexican restaurant.

Ok i never write any reviews, but this time i had to, why because their chicken is AMAZING!!!! Yes AMAZING!! It was my first time eating their chiken (my husband told me it was really good) and i absolutely love it. The chiken, the rice, the beans, and the onions with jalapeños… AMAZING!!! We are not from Lafayette we were working on this area and we stop by to get some chicken.. Believe me when i say its amazing, delicious because it is!!! So yes, yes we will stop here when we come back again…

I’ve been going here for a long time and this last visit wasn’t that great. The chicken was over cooked to the point you couldn’t bit it. Also the amount of salt on it was most likely equal to the amount you would find in the ocean. Normally this place has AMAZING food don’t know what happen this time.

A friend ordered take out from pollo Feliz and I picked it up. We got 3 large boxes of chicken, 2 regular and in spicy. All delicious. Will be back to try more things.

Best Mexican food in town. Most recipes are made from scratch. Time and care goes into Pollo Feliz! P.S. Sadly this place is under new ownership now and it’s not the same. 1/13/16
