The Samburger is one of the best burgers I have ever had! Highly recommend.

All the reviews were great. My experience the 3 times I’ve stopped in haven’t been anything but mediocre, at best. Brunch was very limited, I ended up getting the prime rib sandwich because they were out of 2 of the 3 brunch items.. A little salt and pepper would have gone a looong way! Flavorless. Bartender was nice.

Passing through town on a road trip. Stopped here based on reviews. Should have left after we walked in. There is a difference between a dive bar and a dump, and this place is the latter. Server and service was fine, but prime rib sandwich and French dip sandwich were both bland. Bathroom is disgusting and door doesn’t latch, holes are punched through the wall so you can see the outside alley.

Best bar food in town hands down! Wings, their signature Samburger, Reubens, Philly’s, fried mushrooms, honestly everything on their menu never disappoints. Service is good but they can get really backed up at times, understandably. Good drinks. But the main original bar area upstairs and down, really needs a face-lift and updated.

The food is great although their menu was smaller than I expected. For the most part the staff was very nice and helpful. It has kind of a, dank bar atmosphere which isn’t bad, it’s kind of quiet and cozy.

As a local, you either love Sam’s for what it is or you don’t. It’s a dive bar, it’s dark and a lil dingy inside, but the food is amazing and the bartenders are always attentive even though the place is consistently busy. Great place for a late night snack or a few drinks. Also, the brunch is amazing!

Insanely rude and physical bartenders. I was shoved by the blonde bartender within minutes of entering the bar, when I confronted her about it later her response was “y’all were in my way”. A simple “excuse me” or tap on the shoulder would have sufficed, especially considering we weren’t standing in a roped off area. As someone who has worked in service many years, there is absolutely no reason to get physical with bar-goers. Go elsewhere where your money spent may be respected.

We didn’t stay to eat. The restaurant looked a mess with stuff sitting everywhere and needed a good cleaning. Stacks of bread were at least on top of a stack of other stuff so elevated off the flour.

I grew up in Charleston, I have enjoyed Sam’s food for over a decade. I have moved away since, but I visited recently to show my partner the good stuff. I’d say they really don’t miss. Tip your bartender and wait staff well, they deserve it!

Couldn’t be more happy with this place! Went to see Smile Empty Soul and was amazed at the friendliness of the staff including the bartender Brian aka Hendo. Drinks were on point and when we ordered food……well that done it!!! Id give this place a 50 star review if I could. Best moz sticks, bbq tenders, and rings I’ve had in a very long time….if ever!
