I was walking about in Old Colorado City and came upon this gem! I looked at the prior reviews and they looked great. I entered and was greeted by the friendly staff! They made me feel very welcomed. The atmosphere was fun and the service was great! My waitress gave me some recommendations and I truly enjoyed every bite. I’ve become a vegetarian in my eating and the three tacos were great…avocado, squash and tofu. The flavors and spices blended very well! If in the area check out this fun restaurant! Highly recommend it as it is definitely a switch from everyday Mexican!

West Side Cantina was a let down. We went on a rainy Saturday and were 1 of 3 groups dining there. Service was rushed and inattentive. We got the bill before we even finished eating. Id sympathize if they were busy, but we were going to order another drink, maybe more food, but weren’t given the opportunity. The restaurant was empty. I ordered the queen bee which was a good cocktail and probably the only good thing about our dinner. The street corn nachos were pretty good and probably the only food item I’d recommend. I ordered the birria tacos, shrimp tacos, and fried avocado and all three were very bland and under seasoned. The shrimp tacos are advertised as spicy with habanero–there was no kick or spice at all. Just cold mango served on top of bland shrimp. The birria was made with chicken and was overall disappointing. The fried avocado was also flavorless. Mediocre at best food and really lack luster service. I will probably not be back, and if so will just get a drink.

My wife and I stopped by out of curiosity, I am so glad we did! The tacos were excellent and they had great service. Try their grapefruit margarita! And don’t leave without a churro doughnut, pure joy in shape of round things. Great vibe and an unexpected “Chill Room” in the back.

I’ve tried almost every taco or margarita they offer and have never been disappointed! The staff is AMAZING and the atmosphere is so fun. The Margarita Monday and Taco Tuesday deals are hard to beat. Westside also has the BEST vegetarian/vegan taco options. You can’t miss it!
