Being from Chicago I just had to have some Jerk Tacos. For making the hour-long journey it was worth it. Now my biggest grip is that there is no inside dining but it’s understandable while restaurants are transitioning.

We were in town for an event and while searching for nearby food options, my husband found that this place was right across the street. We walked over to place an order at the door just before closing. The person who took our order (the owner?) was very nice and helpful. He told us the menu on the outside of the building is out of date, but the online menu is accurate, and offered some recommendations. We got some jerk chicken tacos and nachos and they came out pretty quickly. The tacos were an order of three,served with sour cream, chips, and salsa. The nachos came in a smaller box, but there was a good amount of food with that as well. The flavors we’re so good and we really enjoyed everything–would totally order again if we come back to the area!

OMG. I’m from Chicago, (so I know what good food is.) Today was my first time trying this restaurant. The food here is AWESOME!!! OMG, I stopped eating just to make this post. I had to call them and THANK THEM for bringing the taste of Chicago to Kentucky. They have a patron for life in me. I highly recommend Chicago’s Jerk Tacos. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

I just discovered the restaurant on line and was very excited to try their food. I had recently complained that there was no place to get Jerk food in Louisville so I went yesterday and tried the walking steak tacos with the spicy sauce and a side order of fries. I was surprised that the tacos came in a chip bag bit it was a pleasant surprise and a novel idea (never had anything like that before). Everything was very good..Sometimes I’m reluctant to get steak tacos because the meat isn’t tender, but the steak was tender and seasoned well and came out piping hot. The sauce was good and spicy and the seasoning on the fries made them really good. I can hardly wait to go back and try some of the other dishes. This will definitely be my “go to” place to food!

My overall experience was amazing. I ordered the steak pizza and the jerk chicken wings. Everything was fresh, i enjoyed the sautéed vegetables it was a nice touch to the pizza. The wings were amazing. It was all cooked to perfection. I loved how easy the ordering process was and how professional both employees were. The location is ideal as it is a ghost kitchen so the curbside pickup was convenient. All & all I would recommend Chicago’s Jerk Tacos to anyone wanting flavorful food at a great price. Also heard they had a food truck !!!!

I got the wings. My boyfriend got the steak pineapple bowl. I also got a side of jerk shrimp. Jerk Sauce isn’t supposed to be sweet…it wasn’t spicy at all.

The food is fabulous, with incredibly complex flavors! Quicker service than “Chick-fastfood-A” with even better customer service, and you aren’t getting a soggy lifeless chicken sandwich. If you haven’t been, definitely worth a call and pick up, even if it is out of your way. I would drive out of my way for this comfort food.
