OK after our night at cruizin grand. We decided to finally give Fridas a try. Line was growing, but it went fast. We got a fresh horchata that was delicious. Inside where salsa is, was extremely hot from all the cooking. Be ware they have some hot salsa. Even the green. But if you like it hot then yes, you will love these salsa bar options. It was clean and well kept. Pepino and radishes were fresh and crisp. They have bags and lots of salsa cups.

Finally got around to eating at this place after so many recommendations and I was not disappointed! The food was absolutely fantastic and the aguas frescas were delicious and not too sweet. We ordered our tacos and were then directed outside to have them made right in front of us. The salsa bar was fully stocked with tasty salsas, veggies, and limes. Great atmosphere, staff and food. Would highly recommend!

This restaurant gets very busy. The way they work is you go make one line inside to order everything you wish to have. Then, depending on what you ordered, there are two other lines. One inside for nachos and asada fries, the other outside for tacos, mulitas, etc. The place is small, so it gets very crowded with the lines, plus there is barely any ventilation. When we went, there was no air conditioning or fans or anything. It was very hot inside and outside the place. Since it was busy, the tables weren’t being clean fast enough, which cause flies to be everywhere outside. Also, in their menu, they show that they have baked potatoes, but they seem to have a certain schedule to order as we were told that they weren’t available yet at noon.

Amazing taco and burrito shop in Escondido. Food was delicious and fresh. My burrito was extremely flavorful with fresh squeezed juices and a large salsa bar.

One of the greasiest, chewiest, worst adobada burritos/tacos I’ve ever had. I recently moved to North County and swear that nobody up here has any idea what good Mexican food is. The reason I came here was the reviews and the amount of people that I saw flocking there in droves. Maybe everyone who lives here relocated from Texas?

Randomly found this place on google, and the reviews led me here. This was all the authentic deliciousness I was looking for! Great indoor outdoor atmosphere. The watermelon juice… OMG… was worth the visit alone.

Very good taqueria overall. A bit of a pain having to wait in one line to order, then another outside to present your receipt and get your food. The Al Pastor and Grilled Chicken in the tacos was very good, but not especially tasty. Tacos automatically come with a fat dollop of Guacamole. Chips cost extra, but at least they’re freshly made to order, and hot. Salsa bar very good with two green and three red sauces, limes, and veggies, but unfortunately no orange/habanero sauce. When you get your food, ask for Jalapenos and you’ll get two nicely roasted ones along with some sauteed onions.

Legit this is 10 fold better than caddy corner hype. I have been 30 plus years growing up drinking and eating tacos. In TJ. Absolutely the best and tasted the most authentic with what I am used too!!!

I’m originally from Virginia Beach ⛱️ here in San Diego on a work assignment. Part of my stay here I love visiting new places so I came to Escondido. To my surprise I found the most delicious tacos Frida Street Tacos are the best . Now I come every Sunday for my tacos and Aguas frescas. I give Fridas street tacos a high 5 . Love the name. I’m a big Frida fan .

This building for years was a underwhelming Berto’s style Mexican food place. Well I’m not sure who Frida is, but she bought the place and turned it into something amazing. The fare is pretty simple, but what they’ve got going on here is magical. The tacos and burritos are off the charts!! I’ve had the birria, carne asada, and pollo asada tacos. They were outstanding! When I look into the kitchen everybody is busy making mountains of fresh food for the evening rush. Outdoors they have a taco bar, where the tacos are made right in front of you. Would you like some peppers? Some grilled onions? They add a giant pile of them to the the plate. The peppers and onions are almost a meal until themselves! The cilantro, the guacamole, the sauces – all fresh!! Andthe tortillas are cooked right in front of you. Simply amazing! It doesn’t look like much, but once you find a place to park and get in you will be amazed. They have an outdoor seating area too, though even at slow times it may be tough to find an open table. And for good reason!
