We usually get the spicy nachos. It’s definitely spicy and tasty. Taco Tuesday is cash only and they serve authentic tacos. I’m surprised it’s not more popular. It’s definitely a higher gem. Parking is limited in the back. You can only park in that first row.

26 Aug 2022: solo dinner. Chile Relleno Y enchilada ($12) and pineapple jalapeño margarita ($11). 2 types of enchiladas were served pepper stuffed and cheese. I liked cheese better. Some fried rice and mashed beans with cheese were served as well. Everything tasted good overall. The margarita was refreshing with a little jalapeño kick.

I have both ordered delivery and take out and both experiences have been SO GOOD! Their chips are genuine fried tortillas and are my favorite parts! I always get one of their burritos! I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you are looking for Mexican! Also parking isn’t bad if you use the Pats parking lot and walk over!

Soooo good! Queso dip is delicious, rice and beans are also super delicious…and I like the mermaid water drink quite a bit! They have lots of different salsas and margaritas. We have had the sopes, enchiladas, chimichangas, and the Mexican sopa. We have been many many times…in fact, Atexquita is the place we go to celebrate!

Overall a pretty good restaurant to grab a bite and enjoy Mexican food in Newark. I’ve been here multiple times and have invited friends to eat here as well, especially during happy hour (and their margs are amazing). Probably going to visit again sometime soon!

Food is always pretty decent. No complaints. Service can be a little slow at times, but I think that’s due to the restaurant not wanting to over staff and having servers sitting around.
