Our first time trying Detroit style pizza in Detroit (Dearborn) and it was so good! Probably my favorite type of pizza now 🙂 We got the Super 6 mile, Spicy Italian and the Margherita pizza. Definitely one of the highlights of our 4th of July weekend in Michigan. Happy to have successfully checked it off the list!!

Our family is traveling from Philly, home of the Cheesesteak, of course we wanted to try “Detroit Style Pizza”. Buddy was on the list of places to try. Seems to be the tourist place to go, just like our “Pats” and “Genos”, so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed. We all loved it. We ordered a Detroiter and I regular cheese 8 square pizzas, you can really taste the flavor in the sauce but not overwhelming. Kids also tired Lil’ Buddy Mac & Cheese which got mixed reviews from our gang, 2 teens loved it and younger one thought it was spicy but she has low spice tolerance, lol. We all wanted more.

Buddy’s Pizza in Dearborn! I was craving some cheesy goodness and decided to give them a call for pick up. It was a race against the clock, as I dialed their number at 9:15 pm and they were closing at 10 pm. I felt like I was in an action movie, trying to save my hunger from impending doom!

I googled best true Detroit Pizza and this was one of the first to come up. It lived up to its reviews. Delicious pizza! Great service and great atmosphere. If you go to the Henry Ford museum there’s a coupon on the back of the tickets (if you get in person printed tix) for $4 off.
